I have a wild and crazy idea that may or may not work...

I think that we should have a NewOrder get together possibly in London or somewhere....

Here's my plan...First my boyfriend and I would drive over and pick up g05, they the 3 of us will fly to pick up Jeff White in Texas. Then the 4 of us will fly 3000 miles to Canada and hang out with Seb and Nicolas for a while and see Quebec.....

Then we will all go London and meet up with all you UK fans and party hardy for days on end.........

And anyone that wants to come along just say "hey I want to go too!"

What do you think??

I think the man Sebsy should speak out here. Quite a few posts from the orderline family hinting at an official get together. Why not organise something boss, maybe the Bahamas and we'd all chip in 50 pence... to help you pay for it.

But that would be fun, wouldn't it? Depeche Mode organized something like that for their 101 Tour when they picked up people from all across the United States in a bus or two... but getting people from many different places of the world would be indeed very ambitious.

that is an interesting plan...

except for the fact that I won't have any vacation time left after the trip to London...awwwwwwww...why the hell couldn't I have hit the Power Ball... shit shit shit...then I could just underwrite the whole thing...fly everybody down to Cozumel...we'd get the band to fly in...what grand dreams spring from my demented little head...

My idea was meant pretty much for a little joke...but now that I think of it, it is a good idea :idea:

I just thought that since most of the fans (that post that is) are in the UK London would be the best place to meet... NO is from England and so it just seemed right. And if we were in England they wouldn't have to travel as far if they wanted to join us :p

It would actually be quite fun... Seb can run the whole thing :p ...and we can start from California (where I live) and pick up people along the way. Then by the time we got to our destination the whole plane would be NewOrder fans.

This would be really fantastic, but in order to do such thing, it would need enough people with enough money and enough time at the SAME time to justify to make all the expenses: plane reservations, bus reservations, hotel reservations, a hell of a lot of phone calls, etc.

I'm not saying it's impossible, but that it's ambitious to the point that I don't see such thing happening without Warner Music backing us. Maybe it would make an incredible publicity stunt that would be of interest to them. :)

So Seb...should I paint something about NewOrderOnline.com on my body, and then run onto the field (nude of course) during a Cowboys game, and see if we could get some sponsorship that way??? Of course, we would have to make a trip to the north and all crash on Liv's couch...jeez, I hope it's a big one in that case...Of course the other thing might be trying to get some of those Limeys over here during this alleged 2002 tour that's going to happen here...and then all meet up at on particular gig...I am partial to Mountain View...it was lovely...and my God...how long will I ramble on....

Okay April...you three drive to Dallas...we'll rent something big and roomy, then drive on to PQ and pick up Nic and Seb, then head to some port...I'm guessing New York would do..then take one of those big ships across to Liverpool...and figure the rest out once we get there...or does somebody have a fear of the water??? (I don't, as long as the boat doesn't belong to White Star Lines). :nod:

How fun a road trip!!! Well I am not scared of the water...well I am but I will get over it....(scary dolphins and whales..oh and the little fishies that nibble at your feet..ewwww)

I have a feeling though that with my luck we will end up on that "remake" of the Titanic and we will die....well that is my luck for you.....

Actually April, the idea isnt as mad as you first thought it was!

I attend meets ups (piss ups more like!) with all my Duranie mates, from the boards we post on. We always meet in Birmingham, coz thats where Duran Duran were from, and visitors come from all over the world. The next one is the 15th Sept, and people are coming from Canada,USA, Ireland and all over Britain. We all descend on a pub, get plastered and them crash in hotels in the centre of town. Always a right laugh... and well worth it!

Well, thats just my experience, and obviously the money is the biggest issue, but it has worked for us in the past, so in the future who knows........

And besides....you can all crash at mine! :)

Well you already know that when I go and visit I am crashing with you for a few weeks :p I think that we should atleast get together the close NO fans when I go. Just so I can meet other fans, after all you know how many I know here :rolleyes:
