Does anyone like Moby. I've allways liked his music from his techno days through to the music he is making now. We are all made of stars, his new single, is great and is unsuprisingly another musical direction in which he has taken. The new song is more guitar based than his last album which I think he described as Nu-Blues or something, whatever it was, it was fucking good anyway. His version of New Dawn Fades is well worth checking out as he hasn't fucked it up but done a good job in reworking this classic song by J.D.

Agree about his cover of NDF, however the live version on the 24hr PP soundtrack was a bit of a disapointment.
I have'nt heard the 24hr pp version of New Dawn Fades but there is a verion on a CD that is very good. Its an album with bands doing covers of Joy Division songs and Moby is one of the artists on it.
Yeah, "A Means To An End". There's some pretty good (and bad!) stuff on that CD, and the Moby track is probably my favourite. The live one is New Order, Moby and Billy Corgan from the Area One show, and it's a bit of a dirge. Just my opinion, for what it's worth.
That 'Stars' singles sounds dead like ACR to me - 'specially the 'talky'-type lyrics
And anyone who's got Ron Jeremies in their video has to get my vote ![]()
like his music although i can't make my mind up about the new single. his version of new dawn fades is terrible in my opinion.
the thing i don't like about him is that he has too much to say which i would'nt mind so much if he wasn't just so DULL. i remember seeing him on 'back to mine' - what a boring bastard, same on the 24hr pp thing the other night. seems a very serious person to me. lighten up!
Can't stand his version of New Dawn Fades - he's changed the words and a bit of the riff - while covers are just that, the re-interpretation of somebody else's song, you'd have thought he would have at least learned the words first !!!!
I'm in the 'don't mind the NDF cover' corner.. If anyone's caught the Play DVD, there's quite a slick version of NDF in the Live with Jools Holland sequence.. Plus you get to see the Bodyrock videos, surely some of the acest music videos of the past few years..
You do wish he wasn't so damn opinionated all the time though.

Yeah, the live with Jools Holland version wasn't so bad I suppose. It's the lyrics bit that bugs me.

Know what you mean. Saw him live last year a couple of times & he does like to preach at the audience between tracks..the-world-according-to-Moby..stylee.
Gotta agree about his new single. Top song. XFM giving it heavy rotation at the moment.
