Paris, Finsbury Park, possibly Hultsfred (tbc), at least one German (hopefully two) and Manchester. Not doing Dublin though, wouldn't pay 10p to watch the Chilis and fear the old liver may not be up for three awaydays in four days :)

I would have gone to Hultsfred but it seems like a right old slog.....200 km from Stockholm, not much accomodation. Maybe I'm getting old...
I'm doing the lot, but am feeling differing degrees of enthusiasm towards each of 'em - Paris should (I hope) be the pick of the bunch. Brilliant place for a weekend away anyways, and it's the first gig of the next tranche. And it's a 'proper' gig with a roof on the venue, and everything! Finsbury, equally, I'm looking forward to, but purely on a social level, as I don't think the band will surprise us. Lewis-Tyson the same day too! Dublin, again, should be a good craic anyways: band or no band. Germany and Sweden are already looking a struggle, and I think Mancland will be somewhat of an anti-climax.
Where you stopping in Paris, Jim? You training it or flying? There's a few of us here going to the Zenith.

I've got really good vibes about Finsbury, not only will it be a good social day out with a mass gathering of the Online posse, but I have a hunch we may get a good set as well. I'm optimistic that they will have listened to the comments made about the same set every night last time they played over here - it's different touring round a continent and playing the same set, to playing the same set three nights running to the same audience. Maybe I'm overly optimistic, but I'm looking forward to a great show.
Only going to 2 at the moment - which is rather pissing me off - hoping for a cash windfall - scrimping and saving every penny over the next few weeks so I can get to the Paris gig with Jarvo, Johnny Giles et al.
Donations will be gladly accepted, I have plenty of ideas to raise the cash (sponsored drinking, sponsored sit in the bath full of baked beans, the list really is endless) - just e-mail;)
If enough is received - I may well get to the Dublin gig an all![]()
I'm off to the two obvious ones, but am hoping to do my first awayday in Dublin: me usual Order buddy has relocated to Cork so I'm planning to meet up with him in Dublin before going south and spending a few days down there. The only thing putting me off is a dull value-for-money thing: how long are they gonna play for, d'you think. They know there's gonna be a sizeable crowd for the Order, so will they get 80-90 minutes? Or are we looking at a bare hour?
Regardless - and at the risk of sounding like Ali G - nothing but respect to the overpaid nutters who do every show. I remember reading J******* S****'s piece about doing the '89 US tour in "Paradise" (is that thing still going? Does anyone know the lads that ran it?) years ago and ust thinking "God, if only.........."
FINSBURY.....THIS WILL BE MEGA!!! DUBLIN....GOING WITH THE MISSUS SO SPENDING A FEW DAYS IN DUBLIN AS WELL...ITS HER FIRST NEW ORDER GIG!!! MANCHESTER...NOT SURE WHAT TO EXPECT???
NO FOREIGN TRIPS FOR THIS BOY!!!TEMPTED TO GO TO PARIS BECAUSE ITS NOT A FESTIVAL....BUT I WOULD RETURN TO THE U.K DIVORCED AND HOMELESS!!!

David Smith and Oliver Caine were the writers / editors....JS designed the covers etc... Several fans had pieces put into these fanzines - including our very own Gigmonster Mr Jarvo - I have numbers 1-12 dunno if any have been done since the shows at the end of 98 - hopefully Jarvo will let us know;)

Ah, a top piece of literature, I remember that well. Didn't actually get to meet J******* S**** in question till Liverpool, just last summer.
Believe he's still paying off debts from that trip even to this day ;)
Shug, I think Paradise re-appeared around the Summer gigs of 98 as I remember they did a piece on the Commonwealth thingy. What with the 'net now, these things are largely outmoded, aren't they? And, I did indeed write a piece on following the Order through Europe in 93, and kept referring to an inflatable skeleton in the crowd - it was Alex (the Red) who always dragged an inflatable skeleton along to gigs! He was known for it!!
Allen, I am flying from Stanstead on Saturday at 2-40pm with one of my mates to Paris, not sure where we are staying at the moment, seeing NO and coming back on Monday night flying from Charles DG at about 10pm ish. Hopefully I'll bump into you lot when I'm over. Hows about yourself?
Ah, David Smith - should've remembered that given all the cheques I sent the guy!! Are they still on the Order scene or have they knocked it on the head???
well...unfortunately...I shall only be able to attend Finsbury...wish I could do more, but the logistics, and the financials, just won't allow it....I'm sure many of my American compatriots feel very very sorry for me right about now!

I hope Finsbury is a great one for all that distance you'll travel :)

Jim, we're Eurostar'ing over on Saturday morn, back Monday arvo. There's gonna be about 20 of us together. Few people from here too - Johnny Giles, Paul Carbury AKA Mickey Way, Zinedine Zidane, etc. Should be a good 'un. Stopping at various hotels round the Gard du Nord.
Martin, not sure Oliver & David ever really did many Order gigs. Strange, cos they were so committed to this fanzine lark. I remember one of 'em asked me to review Lorelei 93 cos he couldn't afford to go. You could do the whole trip for a 100 notes but he'd gone and spent his money instead on a multi-coloured vinyl version of Blue Monday, I think, which cost twice that!
I'm going to London, Manchester and maybe Paris (not sure what to do about that one yet). Can I tag along with the Paris crew if I do make it please ?

Well, Zinedine Zidane's looking for a room-mate ;)

Oooh, if it was the real one I'd consider it !
I shall be in attendance at Finsbury and Manchester. Please prepare your gifts and have my VIP area clean. I want 50 clean white towels, an array of sandwiches and a big tube of pringles please.
Zidane may have the delectable Fiona in tow yet - retail therapy purposes only, New Order's a bit too far ahead in her acclimitisation to my world just yet.....
Just the manchester one for me, i don't like following bands around coz it takes the edge off it and becomes a bit like deja-vu, and if i'd have known doves were playing i wouldn't have got tickets to see them next month!
well I don't know about taking the edge off of it - going to Paris & Finsbury & looking forward to both immensly.
Finsbury, Old Trafford and Paris...
Would love to do more, but can't get time off work. Am having to skive to accomodate these ones.
Dave....will be cool to see ya in Paris fella!!:)

Finsbury, Old Trafford and thanks to Liv's powers of persuasion, Paris (if I can get myself a passport that is :) )
Finsbury deffo, and sorting out Manchester this weekend. Especially now that Doves are not coming to Finsbury, and the NO set list sounds like it may be different to last years gigs. Won't hold my asthmatic breath though !

Paris is shaping up nicely. Every time I look on here there's someone else joining the party.
Dave, apparently the Hotel isn't quite up to the standard of The Lord Nelson ;)
Liv & Kez on board too?! Lordy.
Anyone hazard a guess as to why the French call us Les Fuck Off's? ![]()

Is this the young lady me & Al met in the Argyll? the lady who turned tail & marched out of Borders Books before Wilson had even arrived?!.
Your recovery plan has exceeded my expectations :D
Well played Sir.
