Yeah it's crazy. But where does this Hurt video come from? Absolutely fantastic version, better than the studio one. Is it some TV show? In ehh Greece? They obviously updated the sound and the rhythm patterns of Hurt. It should have been included on Retro.
I've got it on a bootleg video. It's from the Studio 54 gig shown on Spanish TV in June 85.
Its mis-labelled 'Cramp' on the back of the bootleg though.
actually- i believe it was called "cramp" before it was called "hurt"... neworder usually has a couple of names for their songs before final release (i.e. pumped full of drugs=this time of night, chosen time=death rattle, et cetera...) i'm just wondering about how the fan snuck in a big ass 1989 video cam into the concert stadium for the mr.disco video... very ballsy...

Thinking about it, if I remember, there was f___ all security at Reading in them days. We could have walked in with a gun on that day.
I'm amazed someone got so close with the cam and held it steady. It was a lively crowd.

The bootleg of that gig - Studio 54 Barcelona, 7 Jul 84 is the one bootleg that EVERYONE should have. Great recording of a great performance.

My 2nd favourite NO gig top crowd but I was knackered already having been at the front for the House of Love and Sugarcubes before the Order. Still lasted the distance mind 
Had to sleep on the floor at Reading Station 
and got 'cramp' 3 times
Bloody excellent version of Hurt! Anybody got a boot of it they'd be willing to upload somewhere, for all of us to enjoy? Cheers

You shouldn't have said it! Now I want it madly :) As far as I understand now, this is where the live Ceremony on Retro was taken from and if that's the case, the quality is indeed great.

I have the TV broadcast on DVD but it was only a half-hour show so not the whole gig, just Ceremony, Hurt, Age Of Consent, Blue Monday and a frightening Spansh bird in a horrible brown jumper. You're welcome to a copy, naturally.
