No ammount of technical wizardry can ever make that watchable. I assume the bonus feature will be Plan K.

the vhs may be crap, but wasn't it filmed on actual if 8mm film? It should be able to be cleaned up even if the sound will still be mono.
is it true that it was a campaign by nool that led to the bonus disc on retro?? If so should we do the sam eto get the dvd (ny london) released??

Would there be any point, though? It's so dark you can't see anything anyway.

The NYC/LDN gigs have obviously been pulled because they dont reflect todays/next years live sets. But im all in favour of a petition/kidnapping/strike action for DVD releases of PFD & Academy.
I think licencing issues will continue to halt a release of PFD outside Japan.
I find Academy almost as difficult to watch as HATYM tbh. All that glitzy 80's Mike Mansfield production bollocks.

Don't say I never give yer nuffink! ![]()
There's no probably about Glasgee being filmed.
It's definite, as they've culled the guest list.
2007 will be the year to re discover Joy Division...
along with 98, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006 etc etc. ![]()

Yes it is true about Retro Disk 5. no point in trying to get the Hype Park/Hammersmith DVD released, nobody wants it!

Already have it Ron - I meant that even if they did clean it up, it still wouldn't be watchable...

What's the quality like on Pamped Full Of Draggs - I've got an old VHS copy, would love it on DVD but £20 is a bit steep for me at the moment. Is it worth the outlay?

New Order fans eh? They constantly moan about stuff not being available then when something does eventually appear they won't dip their 'and in their pocket! :D ![]()
It's not remastered but it's not bad either, certainly pisses all over the VHS. It looks and sounds like the DVD transfer was done with a reasonable amount of care. It's good for ripping the soundtrack to CDR > MP3s as well which is handy.
As one of the first NO live performances I ever downloaded I've got alot of fondness for the band's performance and Barney's pisstaking crowd comments, just a shame the crowd didn't get into it more! You've seen more animated folk at a Tory party conference (including Liam!).
Ha ha - ya cheeky cnut! OK, I'll splash out - but I'm warning ya, if it's not up to standard, I'll be sending you the shipping bill! :D
steveone wrote: I might not have read it clearly, but is it R2 PAL format? I wanted the original sleeve too!
It's Region 2 NTSC, so unless your TV / DVD combo is over 10 years old then you won't have any playback problems. That's the only sleeve it ever had - but you get a nice Jap insert. I bet you always wanted to know how to write Love Vigilantes in Japanish didn't you?!

...and as for the interview that ruins Dreams never end!
yes, someone can read between the lines. cos if you can't read between the lines and you don't recognize patterns, then you're dubbed retarded and added to statistics. ![]()
