I notice that two times in the video peter's looking at the camera, or near it....lol...i think once towards Ian and once from behind Bernard...i thought that was neat....Ian never once really opened his eyes, which I think would have made the video better....he has such pretty eyes....

did they ever have to stop in the process of making this video...cos I get the feeling they might have?

i don't like calling peter- hooky- it just sounds weird to me....

Well most productions, of any kind of, have multiple takes, and those takes are edited togehter to create the final product. Given the attitude of the band, and even of Factory, they probably only did the bare minimum to get the video done.

As to why Hooky is looking at the camera but no one else is? No idea.

It's not really a video in the "spastics miming to a tape" sense. They just filmed JD playing the song and the dubbed the single onto it....the sound is WAY out with the pictures in most of it....watch Barney's hands on the synth.

looks like it was edited together a bit....don't like the red tint though...i'm a details kind of person, both visual/auditory,nit picking at images/sounds, things like that...

i just thought of something....they could have put a flock of doves in there....liven it up....dove shit everywhere....

Ian's vocal is the only thing that's in time with the music, because they had the slower version playing while they were recording but the rest of the band played the faster version. It's obvious from Steve's drumming, the keyboards, and Hooky's riffs.

I heard from one of these websites that they had to do loads of takes and it took all day, so much that they were bored and tired by the end. Maybe Hooky was giving the cameraman a glare to tell him to wrap it up. :)

Great video. It's alongside TPK as my favourite video because I just like seeing the band playing the music. Maybe it's boring, but I'm not that interested in artsy, Atmosphere-y videos.

Hooky was just lamenting his poor choice of a hideous spangly suit and tie combo.

i like all kinds of music videos....peter is one of my favorite bassists....thought he was handsome in this one....

would have been neat if they had done a video for "day of the lords" or "something must break"..... probably had no funds to do that though.....after reading about all the hell....

notice how some bands will use a live concert for a video...cheaper...lol maybe?

a lot less stress....some are so good live that it could be made into a video...

if they where bored of it then i wonder how they feel now, what with playin it 24/7. Im so fed up with hearin this song live. Wasnt one of the reasons they broke up in 93 cause barney was gettin bored playin the same songs all the time.

I really hope they dont end with this song at wembley. I also think they should drop BLT from the set too as its done crap live

playing the same songs in 93 was their choice. I do believe there were other issues involved like being sick of each other and all that financial crap with factory etc.
