The problem was with DNS, that's the Domain Name Server.
NOOL's domain....ie neworderonline.com had expired or otherwise broken.
Computers on the internet each have an "IP address", like a phone number, it looks like nnn.nnn.nnn.nnn where each nnn can be from 0-255.
Every ISP has a DNS machine you connect to ( tho there are other ways I wont get into), it works just like a phonebook.....
you look up neworderonline.com (the www part, is like the name of the actual addressee if you like...."I would like to speak to the webserver at this address", as opposed to say the mail server pop.neworderonline.com) and the DNS machine says...oh right, you want....
216.55.186.26
and that's what your computer then connects to.
Hence, anyone who already had the number, could still use the site, as the machine was still running.
