Do Most Druggies Like New Order?

We've established that you don't need to be stoned out of your head to like New Order, but it helps. Previous threads (many many previous threads) have also established that we also must be gay and either very violent or intensely studious.

All that is left to know is whether massive consumption of drugs would turn someone into a New Order fan.

New fans keep appearing from SOMEWHERE, there must be a reason...

Ah yes, the wonderful RAMPAGING HOOLIGANS vs. BLACKPOOL ILLUMINATIONS debate. What a shitstorm in a teacup that was!

As for the gay thing, it's truer than ever. I refer folks to JT's comment over on the Wolves thread about being delighted that it were all "big lads well up for it" down the front at the Civic - the kind of description you usually get on the back of "GAY STRIPPER ORGY #7" DVDs.

Assuming that all drug addicts will like a certain band is ridiculous...:nono:

All the crazy sounds sound awesome when you're stoned. JD is good for that too.

Like the really harshly digital early synths and electronic drums.

Some of the less utterly dirgey JD/early NO (up to about Blue Monday with some scattered after) is good because it's atmospheric (no pun intended) and reverby for when you want to mellow out.

The post-Blue Monday is good when you need something with some almost blissful energy.

I am sitting here with "Incubation" playing while being stoned out of my gourd. Thank god for early classes.

I've never taken drugs, and I'm not violent. I just like New Order cos they're cool :)....in a middle aged men with synthosizers sort of way...

Try the question the other way around...
