Hello Everybody! Years ago I listened a mix of Regret called Regret (Sabres Fast n Throb Mix). The person who had it lived in another city and I never saw him again. From then on I have desperately been looking for that mix in Mexico without getting it. Could somebody tell me where can I get it? Somebody can sell me a copy? Please!! I will pay what costs !! PS: I apologize for my poor english

I've got it on vinyl somewhere, but no equipment yet to transfer to HD.
Will email Mr Weatherall to see if he has it still in his archive. Might be a wait though.

It's on Retro, disc #3.
Unless it's the slow and low one? ![]()

i think it's the sabres slow and low on disc 3.
There is another way of getting it.
The japanese CD of Republic has both Andrew Weatherall remixes included as bonus tracks, and they're both in their full length versions.

Not quite right. The full length version of Sabres fast'n'throb is actually about 13:30 from the UK double 12" promo pack. The same mix on the Jap Republic/French Regret is only about 12:17 so there's over a minute missing. No idea why they edited it for CD as it certainly had enough capacity.
Sabres slow'n'lo is good for about 4 minutes then it descends into an boring improv piece; Weatherall definitely should've hit the "stop recording" button sooner. Glad they edited it down for Retro3, works better as a 6 minute job.
The NewOrder mix + Fire Island mixes which made the proper CD single are the best Regret mixes out there
The record label made the correct decision for once and held back the not-so-good ones.

Is this running time confirmed though...? I have the 12:17 mix on both the French CD and UK 12"... Can't see why it would have been ever-so-slightly longer for this promo... More likely a mis-timing or misprint, surely?
Andy
I can confirm it. The double 12" version doesn't fade out. The song clocks at 13:31 mins. That also is mentioned on the upgraded discograpy from TLV.

The best source is what I have.. the french promo "Regret - The Weatherhall Mixes"...
Very hard to get, I lost about 5 on eBay before I managed to get one...
The japanese edition of Republic doesn't have it, you need to find the LIMITED version, which is very rare and pricy. Beware, I almost bought the regular edition by mistake.
Best way is to check eBay weekly in search of the french promo.
