Rock the Shack

My first thought of Rock the Shack was the same - Warszaw days! It's grown on me, and it indeed reminds me of JD. The question is this: Was there a cognitive effort to make it sound like early JD?
In their review, inrocks.com said (and I'll translate it for you) :

I must say I sometimes have problem to understand our cousins from France, but it goes something like this:
Here comes Rock The Shack, Get Ready's euphoriant bomb, undoubtedly a planetary hit in becoming, which mixes big beat and hardly burned rock in 4 minutes of pure relaxation.
At first I was thinking that kid took too much drugs that day, but I was wondering.. will there be people who will really enjoy this song that much? Sébastien told me it could be a "Give it away" from the Red Hot Chili Peppers type of song, which can be liked by the same kind of people.

Sorry but I think Rock The Shack is utter pants, and sounds nothing like Joy Division or Warsaw. It even makes me wonder if you've listened to any of it properly. I mean, come on; the vocals sound sooooooooo bad it's untrue - Barney and Bobby sound like 2 school children in pain

I'm only going to the 1st show. I did buy the second ticket first because I thought sunday night was sold out while it was just a bug on the Olympia site.
I'll try to sell my monday ticket...
Geoffroy, whereabouts in Paris is the Olympia? Is it very central? We should meet for a drink beforehand when I'm over - there's 7 of us travelling for these 2 gigs.

The Olympia is quite near the North Station, the station when the Eurostar arrives. By the Underground, it's three stations, than connect to another very short trip (2 stops, I think).
I don't now how it will work on this day because, I like, rush to some shopping and then go to the gig...
Maybe we should all wear a "NewOrderOnline" badge... :)

I once met up with 2 mates at a Mondays gig at ULU about a month after the fabled G-Mex 88 outing and we thought it'd be dead 'cool' to each don those faboulous orange circle t-shirts from said gig, displaying New Order, A Certain Ration and Happy Mondays.
Fuck me, did we look like three twats all dressed up the same! :\ohwell:
