There was no debate Nic - if you had actually read what I wrote you would have understood that I was trying to deflect attention away from any "negative" angle that could be directed at your site.

As for what went on behind your back Nic - you'll never truly know, suffice to say that more than one of your "friends" made great efforts to get you in alot of trouble and that you wrongly blamed me for the majority of what went on...

Anyway, onwards & upwards...

Does it really matter if they do or don't do records anymore though ?

yes, it certainly does for me

As I said, I would reply later, as in, I didn't get time to read all of it, but wishes to make a quick comment before I leave..

After reading it, what I can say is that it's already been done as far as I know, London Records are well aware of our site and for some reason we've been mislabeled as the "black sheep" without a notice. I think if they wanted us to shut down, it would have been done.

As a matter of fact, the only person who've been pissed of is the webmaster of the 24HPP website who called me fron England because I used 3 interviews without permission, we settled everything and everything was ok.. if HE can do it, I don't see why Warner wouldn't do it, or London themselves.

So I don't mind having them lurking around, this is a good fan base here, and everyone despite finding files on the internet, is buying records, and want the best for New Order.

Anyway, the goal of this site is mainly to promote New Order, the fact that I have rare and unfindable recordings is a bonus, I've removed most of them since the John Masciana incident.. the guy who for some reason never replied to us, no wonder why the neworderweb site isn't updated since the release date of Get Ready.

Anyway, that's not the point. I too think calling London won't change a thing, I have no clue how the record industry works in the UK, but here there is a comity in each radio station deciding the chart and what should play, and what's good for their public, Crystal went well on the only real Rock Station (unfortunatly one enlish station) here, but was, as far as I know, ignored by the others.. fortunatly New Order has a large fanbase which gave them credit, and they still have a lot of fun doing it, and it shows they don't really care about record sales if they are truly working on new material.

BTW, out of curiousity, which "friends" do you refer too? You see, that's the problem, you seem to know everything while I don't know anything, that's the unhealthy thing between all this crap. As for the rest, you might see in other threads that I've no problem with "other sites" as they appear in the links section and I even promote they special things.. I'm trying to cover everything about New Order, not trying to be "the best" or anything.. otherwise I would find time to work on this site once in a while...

Whoever said they should have called it a day after Republic..

all i can say is FUCK THAT! :evil3: there still making great music, there still performing their great hits of the 80's with passion and strength and may i also incidently add there songs havent aged like some of the dross that was churned out in that decade...

If Grrrrready was a bag o shite and they embarrased themselves on stage then i'd say yea lets live on the memories, but they still pack a crowd, still get a raptourous ovation and most importantly still LOVE playing their songs!! (well apart from BlueMonday!) Listening to back catalogues is all good but dont deny you aint all dying of curiosity whenever they announce a new track is being recorded!!!! what route will it take? whats Barney gonna empathise about?, How much is Hooky gonna rip the fuck out of that bass!! :D

So I say let them give us more memories for the future while they can, because once there gone, they are gone for good and that will be that.

Can I very succinctly nip this in the bud please?

I never made ANY threat to have this or any other site closed down and despite certain belief to the contrary, I would be unable to even IF I wanted to.

On several previous occasions, Nic & Seb have used information & interviews conducted by & and provided by myself that originated on another site. The internet survives through the sharing of information and as such I had no problem with their decision to use anything I had worked on or provided. There was a great deal made out of very little some time ago but to the best of my knowledge, that is all in the past. There are many sites dedicated to New Order and it has to be said that this is one of the better ones. As for myself, ask anyone who actually knows me & I have absolutely no doubt that they will reiterate just what a wonderful, fine & upstanding citizen I really am...

I don't know how to change my name in the bio so for the time being at least, Steven Brotherdale it remains...

Probably, I don't know you personaly, so I can't say anything, all I know is from what I've read and wrote in the last years. I never said we didn't do anything stupid in the years, but I think many things were a storm in a water glass (if that can be said in english) and shouldn't even have happened due to many misunderstanding.

As for the "other site", I never had any problem with it until they stole my design completly. I guess anyone would have reacted the same way as I did after working so long on that! But that's now a case closed, as I said, life's too short to bother about that kind of things.

I changed your name, but put the fake name as a nickname and you are using that nickname, unless you wish to change back to your original name.
