Alright.
It's not official, but Recycle will be released later this year. Don't know if this is the name it will get, but it's scheduled to be released later this year.
I'll post it on the main page when I'll have the confirmation.
So the "new" material might actually be related to this..
My source is pretty accurate, so this is a solid piece of information.
Only 8 years after the tentative release date - I was expecting this bundle of joy around 2008;)

Hope that's not why there in the studio in September, is it? Messing around with old stuff when they could be coming up new stuff, I'd be well miffed.

Well, I'm already quaking with barely concealed trepidation about precisely what blasted London Records will do to this project as regards the exact packaging and contents and release date shenanigans that they've become so renowned for judging from past experience....sigh...

Cue months of endless conjecture and sizzling debate over what the contents of the package should be..
At least some of us won't have to fork out for the t-shirt.

Hmmm... When you think about it cynically if they go back into the studio in September, that would give them just enough time to touch up some old tracks and maybe record one or two newies. Insert them into the last disc of Recyle and pump the thing out into stores by Christmas.

Yeah, great. Can't you just see the set-list for the 'Recycle Tour'? Not dissimilar to the one we saw not too long ago methinks.....
But any NO release is welcome news, so excellent work, Nic

Let's say I like to keep my sources, but I can assure to you it's legit.
Of course, they can always pull it out again, but the word on the street is a release this year.
I'd like to remind everyone that Get Ready was recorded in more than 1 session, they recorded Brutal, Crystal and 60 Miles An Hour before, then the rest.
So New Order can actually record new stuff, put one or two on the boxset..
But then again, what would be the point of releasing a new compilation if they release an album after that!
Always a vexing issue when it comes to this box set isn't it Spotnick? Probably the single most controversial project the Order have ever been involved with I reckon! Simply cos of it's continual no-show after such a long period of speculation... Still, if they bung it out in the format that I took so much time and trouble to detail on an old thread a few months back, I'd be happy. It'd make a great Chrimbo present for many as well of course!
They can actually do all DVD singles this time and it would fit.
Who knows..we'll see when official information will surface, as I said, I have no other info that they are working on it and will promote it.
