Yeah I caught a bit of it, most of the 'action' was a bit before my time, but I did also note the clever use of the soundtrack....taking out all the vocals except 'Lets go out and have some fun'.
Managed to bore my housemate half to death telling him the link between NO and footy hooliganism etc

I see everyone is worried about Cardiff v Stoke in the play off semi this weekend. According to the paper, of the 989 names on the Police list of known hooligans, just over a hundred are Cardiff and around 60 are Stoke! Cardiff are only getting 1500 tickets for The Brittania, and a condition of buying one is that they agree to travel to and from the game on an organised coach!
From a purely footballing point of view, I hope Stoke win.
Actually, it might be good - for opposition fans - if they did go up. And up. All seater-stadia, closer police scrutiny, increased ticket prices. Might sort 'em out. Not let 'em have the licence to run free like they have in the lower divisions.

I hope Brentford stay down as it gives me another easy game to go to next year. Cardiff are probably the best team and I don't want me Bluebirds supporting housemate ribbing me when they do the double on us next year....
If it's a real close finish you want, take a look at the Doc Martens Premier. One game to go, Tamworth and Kettering level on points, with the Tams two goals better off. Tams away at Folkestone, Kettering away at Tiverton. If the Tams win 3-2 and Kettering win 3-0 on Saturday, they will need a playoff on a neutral ground. One goes up to the Conference. Any other lesser wins will see Tamworth win the league, which they deserve to do.
As the resident Stokie here (where has Ken Brough gone?), I appreciate the general pro-Potters, anti-Cardiff vibe here. Stoke have a serious hooli problem, but lame compared to Cardiff. Despite my eternal faith in the boys in red 'n' white, I fear Cardiff will be in the first division next year.....
By the way Jarvo, I was GUTTED for the Shrews on Saturday: couldn't your lot have let 'em win?????
And there's the other small consideration that Stoke actually play nice football rather than trying buy their way out of the league.

The only bloke likely to score for them was that Rodgers lad, and he was one behind our Steve Howard in the 3rd division leading scorer stakes. So we had to shut them out.
Besides, my ex was Shrewsbury and she gave me a corker of a black eye at a works' black-tie do a couple of Xmas's back. So fuck 'em.
Don't forget the nightmare scenario - one of Cardiff or Stoke will be in the play-off final on the Saturday. On the Sunday you potentially have a final between Bl*es/Millwall and Wolves. What a pleasant weekend that will be for the residents of Cardiff and the South Wales OB!!!!! Being a Villa fan do I want the Bl*es to come up? Well at least we'll have some atmos back at Villa Park!

She may have given you a corker of a black eye, Jarv, but was she a corker? Shrewsbury has more good-looking people per square inch than any other town in the country, IMHO. Must be all that Salopian clean living.

Indeed, it would be rather nice to renew old aquaintances, especially at Vile Park. It must be 1986-87 since we played you in the league though we had a few league cup games in the early 90's.
Though anything can happen in the play-offs...

Blues should go up as well. If only to stop them playing Brentford, only been to 1 footy match in my life (Blues/ Brentford at least 6/7 years ago) and it all kicked off. Passed out when a police horse got stabbed in the face...

1987 in the League, old second division. I was at the Sty when we beat you 2-1. I have to say it was the equivalent of World War III! My in-laws are 'noses so I won't begrudge you coming up, god knows the Midlands needs to be awaken in the footballing sense. Have a feeling Millwall could be a bit grim for you though.

Cheeky, I think you must be thinking of a previous match against M*llw*ll who of course we are entertaining on Sunday.
Its fair to say I will be taking abit of a detour on the way back to London after the match.
I was semi sure it was Brenford :o shows how much I really do know doesn't it!
