Anyone see this on C4 last night? I know it's been on before as Johnny G had seen it.

Film-maker Carol Morley (Paul Morley's sister?) retracing her steps through a drunken haze in the 80's and interviewing people from those days. Included an i/v with Alan Wise, who she and a mate bedded 'for a laugh' plus 50 notes and a Chinese! And talked about them dossing down with New Order at a flat in Bayswater whilst they recorded Low-Life or PCL (they couldn't remember which). Carol Morley had hitched down to London with the intention of taking a bottle of spirits down to each member of the band in the hope that they could stop with them for free - Pernod for Barney, Southern Comfort for the Morrises, and she couldn't remember what she got Hooky. However, they outstayed their welcome and Hooky's the only one who says Hello to her now.. .

yep i saw it. allan wise is a dirty old perv! i think it was inferred that when she was with new order that a bit of shagging may have gone on, but they did bet her to go out and pick someone up like a prostitute would, and her and her mate did!

it was pretty good viewing. a lot of people from the 'play at home' doc were on it too.

it was one of those shows where of you go out in mcr your thinking 'fuckin ell i recognise her/him'

i may have heard that she is paul morley's sis but cant be sure.

Shit, I missed that! I remember reading about that when it was showing at the cinema here in Manchester and really wanted to see it. Don't suppose anyone taped it and could get a copy to me?

And yeah, she is Paul Morley's sister....

Yeah, saw this first time round as well: a cautionary tale if ever there was one. Pretty much essential viewing with masses of folk from the fringes of the Factory scene - does anyone know who they all are? Who was the Ian Broudie-alike who wanted her to go on tour to the Pacific Rim with 'em?? And what was the bit where the guy said New Order used her and her mate "as entertainment". What, exactly, does that mean?? Poor lass, she mut have been seriously fucked up if she shagged The Good Doctor A.W., who at least sounded repentant.

Until he said, "Shall I get me willy out now?". Will he be MC again this summer?
