Oft forgotten, but a major player in the band's history. Does anyone know what she looked like, what happened to her after she finally accepted Ian's death (DC says she continued calling his number a month after he had died) etc etc ?

she gave birth to their love-child.....maybe?

I had a long conversation with one of the main players in that whole Annik H. story back in 1990 and though I have never to this day repeated what I was told, I can tell you that there are a number of discrepancies in "Touching From a Distance" in relation to Annik Honore & her relationship with Mr Curtis. She was by all accounts quite a glamourous woman who was in the words of one friend "mental" - I think this is the wrong arena for this depth of discussion so I'll leave it there I think...

good question. i suspect she's faded into obscurity married with a kid...god, i hope she doesn't write anything stupid like a tell-all book on ian curtis that's sensational. i can't tell you how cheesy those books are.

Most mysterious of all is why she chose to name herself after an anagram of "Nine, Akron OH."

Eerie.

I'm sure it was meant the right way, but it just came across as "I'm privy to all this classified information because I'm part of the inner sanctum, so you lot can all pay me some respect". People earn my respect.

Have I then? :D

I don't know what's scarier, the fact that you took the time to make that anagram or that I live in Akron and my birthday is in the ninth month, September, my address begins with the number nine, and the day that Ian Curtis died was the eighteenth, which is 2 times 9!!!! I'm going home to destroy my Iggy Pop records and buy a lot of garlic and wolfsbane.

Yeah I know, but I asked a perfectly civil and sensible relevant question, and got back this "well I do know, but I'm not going to tell you" answer. What was the point in even replying other than to be smug and condescending ?

I think JS went part of the way to answering your question Mr. Puss so in that sense his post was worthwhile. Some confidences aren't to be betrayed however and I think you've got to respect that.

Baggy has a point though - why does he always end his posts with a statement reminding everyone how much more knowledgable he is than everyone else? It's the 'I could go on..' bit which is so 'kin irritating...

Fcuk 'Football Fight Club', can we have a 'NewOrderOnline Fight Club' instead?!

;)

I couldn't give a fuck what anyone thinks of me to be honest and I'm sorry that I even went as far as I did in responding to that subject in the first place - I am always going to piss someone off because I appear to know a bit more than certain others about this bands history but don't think for one minute that I'm about to spew all that information on some fansite where certain individuals appear to struggle with their own insecurities and project their own problems on me.

I find it ironic but somewhat predictable that it's the kids who know fuck all that always try to start it with me.

I just checked the biogs of some of the usual suspects and guess what - I came up with absolutely nothing of any interest whatsoever...

Ah but I do respect that. I wasn't asking to be made privy to classified information, or for confidences to be challenged across a web forum. I asked did anyone know what she looked like, and did anyone know what happened to her after Ian died. I'm still none the wiser. All I now do know is that J******* S**** does know but thinks it inappropriate to say so through this forum !

She probably got fat and frumpy on a diet of bottled biere and mayonnaise. And became very, very boring.

Well, she was Belgian after all.

Sorry Klumpy! ;)

Bet all her subsequent boyfriends got sick and tired of her asking them to do "that fly dance," mind.

Bet she's got hairy armpits, too.

Hmmm, on reflection maybe we should avoid a "bodily hair" debate. Hearing Carol Decker's comment on The Weakest Link last night made me feel quite ill....

Well, it's true that the only connection between Joy Division and my home country is not exactly something to be proud of...

"Paradise" - well, I was really hoping that people had forgotten about that one...I can't find any of the issues I "worked" on at all. There was, if I remember correctly, a really nice colour cover for one edition that ended up costing more than a few quid to produce and another that was either transparent or made of plastic...anyway, I suppose it would nice to see them again after all this time. I haven't heard from David or Oliver for a very long time but would love to if anyone has a contact email address.

Cheers - haven't heard anything of David for ages! If you want copies sent - send an e-mail;)

A night out with Steven Brotherdale seriously damages your health. And re-opening the pub at 3AM is alaways gonna end in disaster. Hope you feel as bad as I do!

I feel remarkably good to be honest! Thanks again for your hospitality which you know is valued.

Only feeling a bit rough...

Where about's is THIS bar Grahame? Sounds fuckin great - the next time I'm up - I'll have to pay a visit;)

Hmm Yes Grahame, after a brief conversation with your partner in crime today, I guessed both of you would be feeling a little tender! I also believe I have instructions to stop posting shite on this forum, so all will be glad to know this is my last night (stop that cheering). The fact I will be computerless from tomorrow and the humiliation I feel from those comments means I may never return  ;) but hey I kept myself amused for a while.

See you all in Gay Paree/ Finsbury

:hi:

PS May see you Wednesday Grahame on my flying visit to lovely Glasgow village. :D
