Good News
But, he is quick to note, we will soon see new(ish) material from the band he loves to hate. “New Order are doing nothing,” Hook says. “There is, however, new music coming out in the form of leftovers from (the 2005 release) Waiting for the Siren’s Call — which sounds bad, but the tracks are in fact as good as the ones on the album.”
Bad news
The new New Order release will also include music from the soundtrack of the upcoming film Control, the long-awaited biopic about late Joy Division vocalist Curtis.
I want a album and a soundtrack separetly.
so - that means that the new(ish) material is going to be out during 2007 with the official movie release

about DJ'ing AGAIN???
No,He said there was NEW New Order stuff coming (the remaining WFTSC stuff) along with stuff for control.
THE SOUNDTRACK WILL BE LIKE THE SALVATION SOUNDTRACK THEY DIDYEARS BACK , COUPLE OF SONGS AND COUPLE OF INSTRUMENTALS.
THAT'S THE WAY IS GOES BABY.

8 tracks on par with Jetstream?
and a bit of soundtrack music.
Oh joy.
Why the hell can't they just use those WFTSC leftovers and bung out a 7 or 8 track MINI album - do sumthing different for a change? As well as the Control soundtrack? Just to at least get those new New Order songs out as soon as poss. ![]()
They should take a few risks really. ![]()
Or why not just record three new songs....Now could that really be so hard? Add the three new songs to the 7 remaining and you have an album of "new" material.

And, you must admit, DJing.
And New Order fans... World-weary students with hair dyed as black as their moods. Each week, the requests trickle in — each for a different New Order 12-inch single. And... each housed in a generic cover, with no mention of a song title on it.
That's fine, but why no reference to New Order's Pheonix rising from the ashes of Joy Division OR any mention of Bloo Monday's sleeve costing so much to produce that they lost money on every one sold.

[Please forgive me as it's been a long day and it's high time I went a bit off the deep end and become one French Fry short of a Happy Meal.
I'm as good ready to 'walk upon the edge of no escape and laugh'!!]
There's this one I did last April when he was in Bangkok.

Good news to get somewhat of a confirmation that we'll be hearing the new-old stuff leftover from the WFTSC sesssions.
Bad news on hearing that Hooky seems fed up with NO.. and that they are "doing nothing"
If the new album comes out with the leftovers and a track or two from "Control".. knowing how strange life can be... it might actually sell MORE than WFTSC what with the Control movie stoking interest in the band and maybe the soundtrack stuff.
