Translated as "New Order's chances of Rock and Roll Hall of Fame?" :D
Anyway, NO are mentioned in a fairly good article in the Onion AV Club's special on artists who may (or may not) have a chance to get into the HOF. I'm posting a link to the full article, but NO are in there.
0.01% in the near future since the American establishment treats them with about as much respect as Depeche Mode.
I'm don't know too much of this "Hall of Fame" thing, but I doubt it because New Order probably is just remembered in the US as "that 80's band" or something utterly ridiculous like that.
That's my impression, at least. Here in Japan, though, it's quite easy to find New Order CDs in shops, and I know they came to the Fuji rock Festival in 2001 and 2005. Many Japanese editions of their albums have bonus tracks, too...
Anyways, that's just my opinion on it.
hum i was expecting a post about the Hoff doing R'n'R and perpahs covering the Order. Thankfully not. :D
If more of the people in the 25-55 "rock expert" set who know who NO are influence the vote, sure. Probably be waiting a while for that, seeing as the point was made that not even JD, The Smiths, DM, etc have even talked about by the voting class, yet.
About as much chance as the hole in your arse sealing up. One of those bands that seem to get name-checked by people who dont really know who they are.
