I apologise if this poll has been done before.
I also appreciate that some people will consider Substance to be a best of/compilation album but have decided to include it since most of the tracks had not previously featured on an album.
By the way, Substance was my first purchase.
Brotherhood - my brother bought it for me at the Navy PX, even though the title suggested communism....

PCL was first, then movement, had to wait about a year before lowlife came out, that was a long wait for a young man eager to hear more NO, now everything seems like a long wait for a middle aged man clinging to memories of youth!
Movement, though I opted for the U.S issue first (gotta boost those domestic sales, y'know).
Low Life, which also happens to be the first cd I bought. Brotherhood was still a few months from release.
Them were the days when a weekly visit to the record shop would very likely be rewarded with some new New Order product.
I know I bought Singles first, but as for the albums in the poll...I bought all of them fairly quickly after Singles, but the first was likely WFTSC.
PCL back in '88 when i was a wean of 13 and doing a paper round 
as soon as I saw the cover I knew it was New Order, I had previously "borrowed" Low Life and Brotherhood several times from Uncly John.
Movement, strangely enough. Then PC&L in 1983, and so on. The only one I bought out of sequence was International, which I didn't buy until late 2006 and only then because I was surprised to see it in a bargain bin.
PCL-albeit with a bit of money blagged off me Dad(He thought the music was OK-really loved and still loves the cover). With my own money it was Brotherhood.
Power,Corruption & Lies,followed by Factus 81-82 about 2hrs later when i realised it wasn't the one with Temptation on.
SUBSTANCE in september 1989. I' ve just discovered New Order one month earlier in the summer holidays at my cousin house with a homemade tape. There were on it: Kiss Of Death, Shellshock, Thieve Like Us and a selection of Technique tracks. Kiss Of Death really amazed me ! and I still prefer Kiss Of Death as TPK. During the following months I bought Low-Life and Technique...
I bought Brotherhood from Woolies, after playing it for a week I notice that the FAC number was different on the vinyl as to the sleeve. They had put it into the sleeve of Low-Life. I went back the following week and bought Low-Life and the cover for Brotherhood!!!

Brotherhood - the commies used it alot. Brotherhoood of workers, brotherhood of proletariat, etc.
Mine was actually the BBC Glasto 87', followed by Substance. (i have voted for Substance as it waqs the first studio based album I got).
PCL in mid 1983, followed by 1981-82 then Movement and the rest of the albums in release order and mostly on the day of release.
I brought the best of first which I loved, I even let my sister nick it because I already decided to buy all of new order's albums starting with low life and then get ready.
Sadly old enough for it to be Movement, then PCL and Lowlife on vinyl (plus assorted 12" singles when the money was there). Brotherhood was the first CD I ever bought, then Substance and Technique. Republic, Get Ready and WSC had to wait for the wonders of mp3.
Haven't heard the first two in years as my vinyl collection stayed in Glasgow while I hit the road...

Cheers :) Seem to remember it was a nightmare when I went back to Woolies and said "you've given me the wrong record for my sleeve". They said "who's it by" and I said "I don't know, I just liked the sleeve!"

I do remember waiting 3 weeks before buying TECHNIQUE on CD cos i didn't like the creasing the staples made to the cover!But they were all like that!Have i got a serious PROBLEM?Thought SO! 
Bro stole The best of in Greece (both CD and Cassette) then I got PC&L[USA] from a friend who didn't want it.

This reminds of when I bought PC&L at Woolies, I think in 1993. I took the CD case to the desk for the shop assistant to insert the CD and she had great difficulty finding the CD due to the Factory pattern of lack of artist/title information on the CD cover. She had to come back and ask me who the artist was!
My first was actually "stolen" from my sister's room (Substance) so I don't think that counts. I wasn't allowed to purchase music as a kid (parents thought it was a waste of money) so it wasn't until I was 16 that I was able to buy my ownstuff and bought Republic.....so that's my first legitimate purchase.
and for those worried, I later bought my own copy of Substance and returned the originaltomy sister..........7 years later:D
Since Substance is in the poll, and is actually my first New Order album, then I voted for it.
Then days later, I was able to borrow a Low-Life LP before buying (my first) Brotherhood cassette tape. (It was borrowed and never returned. I bought a second one.) So Brotherhood was my first studio album.

As one who is old enough to have bought the JD albums in order, then it was Movement then every other album in order plus the singles in order - except Subculture which I still don't own.
Voted for Low life, even though my bro bought it back for us via a priate copy on tape. So not strcitly bouhgt it. I have however since those early days bought it on vinyl, box tape, CD so I've paid my dues back. Low life was on one side and PC&L on the other I was 12-13 yrs old and felt i was let into some great secret and never looked back,
"The Mini Album" ("Mesh", "Hurt", "E.E.G" etc), didn't need to buy "Movement" as my brother bought it 1st; and I just "borrowed" it (for-life) when the time was right.

"Movement" on the day of release. Bought it at "Electric Circus", a record shop in Oslo, Norway
"Substance." Purchased used in late 1987. Still have the CD--the case for CD #1 is completely beat to crap and falling apart.
The first NO album I actually bought was Low-Life on vinyl about 3 months ago, Qwest printing.
Waiting for the Sirens Call, right when it came out. A couple months before this I had just discovered the Order after downloading a bunch of their stuff off Limewire. I liked them so much that this CD was the first music CD that ever I bought.
Substance, directly after true faith was released; however, talking of proper albums (substance is a compilation, let's face it!), it was pcl, still my favourite.
