Why don't we just do a live version one? As most/virtually all sound different live anyway,& some don't come across well live at all,could be a tad more interesting than summat we only did a year ago? Just a thought..........

Actually, yes it is complicated, since I've *cough*NEVER*cough* seen 'em live.

Instead of another community, which I'm sure Nick and wen are only just recovering from, how about a NOOLers covers section on the multimedia page, it would save time and a lot of effort on Nicks part, and we could leave ourselves open to a lot of slagging off from other NOOLers

I haven't thought of a god way to make it different from last year. I still have the data from the "Definitive top 10 NO song" poll that was done last year. We could use those data for seedings. I don't have anything from the JD polls, though.

As oldmonkey pointed out, "it's so painfully dead around here". Even with all those polls, page 1 still includes stuff from yesterday.

Besides, here is the exact quote from the comminuty standards:
"Spamming is the multiple posting of an identical or similar post on one or more of our Forums."
Personally, I don't think that 'Regret vs. Dracula's Castle' is identical or very similar to 'Hurt vs. Round & Round'.
The only similarity is "vs."

That took two months. I'd rather have this done in a month, no reason to drag it out that long. Anyway, since Tim did the first round in groups of 8, and gave three days for each grouping, I guess I can leave the first round open for 10 days. That will give people more time to decide and post comments.
Then' If people really want, I can do the subsequent rounds in a similar fashion to what Tim did, doing only a few at a time instead of the entire round all at once. Sound good? Sorry for the screw-ups, I couldn't quite remember exactly how it was done last time.

It's a fine idea but you should have waited to see what everyone else thought before you posted all those polls in one go. Now it's a bit daunting to see all those threads.
hear hear Wasim. I'm half way down the list and now I've had to go looking for some other threads just to take a break. And I shouldn't be here anyway, I should be doing my shopping which my kids will tell you is far more important :D

Bloody hell! Go away for the weekend and come back to find more polls than the Italian Parliamentary elections!
They've all gone to "State of the Nation" now, their rightful home. The problem with posting so many polls at once is that it pisses people off, including me, as I've just had to spend 10 minutes moving them. 
It also looks as it was a bit too soon to do this type of thing again, as the voting numbers are pretty much 50% of what we had last time. Last year people were voting straightaway, if the poll was open for more than 4 or 5 days the voting numbers didn't go up at all, and with them being pretty low now after 3 or 4 days I don't think they are going to increase. Never mind.

Yeah, it probably was too soon to do it again, but with March Madness here in the states, I got carried away! There maybe be a few upsets, though, with some new members here and perhaps some peoples' tastes changing slightly, plus since I seeded the songs based on previous poll results, the matchups will be different plus the two most poplular teams should make the finals this time, instead of the fourth most popular song (Regret) making the final. But, we shall see!
