We are pleased to announce that Re : Order have reluctantly agreed to play Corby on Friday August the 3rd at Corby Vikings Club in Danesholme.

They will be supported by a Corby band called Pig Champion, who are pals of mine and Uncly John and do a good set of Punk, Ska and Indie themselves.

We also hope to follow this up with Digital in September/August.

Tickets will be £5 each, more details to follow (Like getting them to keep the bar open etc...)

Corby Vikings Club Danesholme Park, Montala Close, Corby, Northants. NN18 9HX.

I hope a few of you dodgy bastards will be in town :viking:

What do u mean ?"lesquels d'eux?""Quoi de eux"??? I've got a translation problem... I just meant that this kind of meeting doesn't exist in France. No N.O cover'band at all. No meetings beetween NO fans ( we're not too many), except for the NO Live sets... There's nothing like this here. This "phénomène" is typically British. The Vikings ....

I've just looked at our office map of GB, and Corby's smack bang in the middle of England.

37 years it took me to know that.

Apparently we're the biggest town in Britain without a train station  Every year there's a rumour it's gonna get sorted!!!

You's will have to get a train to sheepshagland, the good news is there's a railbus every 15 minutes or something like that.

We're gonna shove on a disco between and after bands and try and get a late bar, John's going up there after work at 10 and I'm getting tickets printed in the next week or two once I've stolen a few designs from Re : Order's site :viking:

i've seen a Re-order video on utube. It's absolutely terrific! Incredible! Incroyable.... They look and sound like NO in their early days. The lead singer is a Barney 'fake and the shadow of the bass player reminds me old hooky pictures... But what can we think about this ? I'm confused...It's weird and strange , really.

I was just wondering why a musician make this choice: only play covers from another band. And why u try so hard to look like your idols...

According to this site (where most of the links don't work!):

"Rail: the mainline station at Kettering is just ten minutes away, providing direct access to London St Pancras and Leicester mainline stations. A proposed direct Corby to London rail link has been included in the latest bidding documents being evaluated by the government."

Why did they shut the original line down in the first place? Probably the logical thinking as Dr Beaching back in the 60's! :p

We only had 120 tickets printed as we don't want the hall to be too crowded. I have the tickets, they are not on sale at the Viking Club. We have sold around 70 so far, if you intend coming you can just turn up on the night and ask for myself or Shug Sludden. :thumb:

The lack of a train station is a nightmare Johnny. :banghead: The Corby station finally re-opens next year. There is a rail bus to Corby every hour, but Lorraine and i can come and pick people up from the station no problem as long as it's mid afternoon - early evening time and not too late. Don't want to waste any valuable drinking time. :thumb:

The support band Pig Champion are looking to do a short set of around 45 minutes and hope to go on stage around 20.30 with Re: Order (if ok with them) taking the stage around 21.30.

I'm not 100% I'm going yet, but if I do I'll drive, in which case I could probably pick you up from Kettering Johnny, if that makes things any easier... I'll have to virtually go through Kettering to get Corby from here, so it wouldn't be out of the way...
