New Order Live on DVD

Does anyone know what happened to the DVD that was going to be released last summer

Yes. It was scrapped and shown on TV instead, most of it anyway.

Only the New York gig though wasn't it? I've got it somewhere, it wasn't very good truth be told.

Wasn't Hyde Park also shown, separately?

The New York show was awful, and it shoed on film....it was filmed really poorly as well.

The O5 DVD was scrapped...

But now there is supposed to be a DVD of the shows in Glasgow from last October. Both shows were filmed, and the shows were by all accounts excellent, so should make for a good DVD,

But when will it come out?

Nothing wrong with the New York performance, it was the lame septic twats in the crowd who stood there like zombies who killed it! The Glasgow DVD will be out later this year according to HMV Japan.

Well, the crowd at the New York show did suck...

But the band played a bit sloppily that night.....and LWTUA sounded like garbage...True Faith was so bad that Barney didnt even bother to pay guitar on the second half of the song, he dad danced instead. :)

Also, whoever filmed the NYC 05 show was an idiot, The show was poorly filmed, and they kept the lights up most of the time, destroying NO's awesome light show.

They should have filmed the Chicago 05 show. it was astounding, and prolly the best show of the American tour.

I cant wait for the Glasgow 06 DVD. That show had a great set list...

Yeah but you never know what you're going to get with the Order, so unless you film every gig there is always the danger of filming a below-par show (Finsbury Park being just one in the recent memory). Anyway, what makes a good gig? Ask ten people and they will give you different answers. Hooky was asked many moons ago this very same question, his answer............"tension".

Hooky also said "getting a few beers down your neck,and getting of with a top bird" was a good gig.

Think he meant attending rather than playing.

I can't speak for the '05 NYC gig, but the Chicago gig, at least from my memory, was intense as fuck! I was not one of those "lame septic twats" ...I was pogoing like a bastard, and quite a few around me and in front of me as well!

I think ou brazilian audience was much more "excited" with the band last year

I was in the front row, by Phils synth rack. The Chicago show was fucking awesome, from the very minute the order walked onstage. Every song they played that night sounded good, and the WFTSC songs got a really good reception from the crowd. jetstream went down well in my part of the crowd.

I remember when they played Run Wild....some girl next to me was singing along ans she knew all of the words, and I though, yes...these are true New Order fans.

Temptation was brilliant and every one was singing along. Atmosphere ans YSF were goregeous...and Blue Monday was simply stunning.

After the show, I went to Neo and danced with other fans until 4 am.

It was magical. Id been waiting for that night since I was in 8th grade. It was glorious. It was one of the best nights of my life.
