Not anything you can't find on the internet these days.
Our 2 "rarities" are the World In Motion CD single and the 1983 EP on CD.
There are two other canadian releases that were exclusive Nic. The Fine Time cd single had the instrumental on it, and if im not wrong Salvation! was canadian too.

As Spotty said. The Canadian cd release of the FACTUS8 ep. That is also something I'd like to get my mittens on.

While you are at it you might as well explore that site.

Fine Line was only here? I have the US CD single without it, but the Canadian... TAPE.
Go figure.
Salvation, it's the Japanese version that is rare...
Salvation is rare full stop! Yeah, im pretty sure about Fine Line only being on the canadian Cd single.
Fine Time (Canadian) was the first NewOrder CDS I bought (in 89). I didn't know at the time that I've started with a 'hard to find' one!![]()

Cheers NOOLigan
I thought Canada had a different version of "the rest of". I know the USA one is different than ours.

I dare say your version is the same as the rest of the world got.

I think i know what you're thinking about too. I remember when it came out i picked it up while in New York and seem to remember it had to two tracks that were only on the vinyl release. Like a tit i didn't buy it for some reason!

It is the USA version that is different. I know I have both.

Salvation OST is readily available. Twelve copies on eBay right now.
It's the Japanese and German versions that are tougher to find. Both feature the unique 7.59 mix of TBTHOG.
You might also want to look out for the Canadian gatefold 7" of BLT.

Yup, Fine Line is exclusive (on CD format) to the Canadian CD single, and still remains so today.
The World In Motion Canadian CD single is worth getting (and very scarce), as is the 1981-82 CD EP.
Luckily, I bought them all when they first came out! ![]()
As for Salvation, yeah, the German (with the girl in the fishnets sitting atop a TV set) and the Japanese (Saville design - similar to the US/Canadian versions?) versions are the ones with the exclusive mix of TBHOG on it.
Shite film, though! ![]()
I had the Can. Fine Time and Round & Round singles but they were stolen!
Another Can. rarity is the Blue Monday-88 cd, the only version with 'Beach Buggy' on cd (though its called Dub Version)
The Can. Rest of cd came in a limited edition with a bonus cd of mixes of Blue Monday-95.
Also had the 81-82 cd, but I dont know what happened to it?
Sorry to say though, I haven't seen any of these in years and years, new or used, so your chances are pretty slim.
Realistically, you'd probably have more luck looking online.
Mistake: Can. Blue MOnday 88 cd is only one with Touched by the Hand of Dub on cd, not Beach Buggy.
Oh yeah, forgot one, Joy Division's "Love Will Tear Us Apart" 1995 CD single - has an exclusive to CD remix by Arthur Baker on it.

Touched By The Hand Of Dub is also available on the 2 track Japanese CD Single of Touched By The Hand Of God (15CY-5017). There is also a 3" Japanese CD single with the 7" Edit of TBTHOD.

Just making the link a little bit friendlier ;)

What is so special about the Canadian WIM single? I bought a tape copy of that single as a birthday present for a friend of mine who, unexplainably, loves that song. It had the original and 5 different remixes on it. Does the Canadian one have more and/or different remixes on it?
This blue-eyed boy that wants to be wrote: What is so special about the Canadian WIM single?
It has the Subbuteo Dub and Carabinieri Mix which are extremely scarce on CD.
Both mixes came out on remix 12" in the UK but the only other place to find them (on CD) is the "Remixes In Motion" Factory promo CD which has previously gone for hundreds on eBay.
The CA WIM is desireable because it basically collects every related mix on one CD (bar one or two very obscure 7" mixes), the UK and USA CD singles only had 4 tracks next to the CA's 6.

I don't think the Subbuteo remix was on the cassette I gave my friend, but I believe the Carabinieri mix was.

According to Discogs the Subbuteo Mix is on the 6 track Canadian cassette.
It could've been the 4 track Qwest tape you gave your friend but it also has the both the Subbuteo and the Carabinieri mixes.
CMS: US 1990 (Qwest 9 21582-4) 5:52 World in Motion... (carabinieri mix) 5:40 World in Motion... (no alla violenza mix) 5:08 World in Motion... (subbuteo mix) 5:08 World in Motion... (subbuteo dub)
I have both of these tapes...Ally's right.
The Can. version has 'the B-side' on it - a 'remix', I guess in a way, though it's just a 'pisstake', as you say.
Maybe that's where the confusion's coming from.
