This is an archived legacy thread. Replies are closed, but the discussion is preserved.

So the forum is back to its state on May 9th 2002. I'm sorry, but we lost a week of messages in the upgrade process, this is something that I wasn't able to deal with, but at least the sitw was opened then.

You can see other changes on the way, I sure hope you will help me find most of the bugs caused by the switch, I'm working on them as we speak.

And also, let me know if you find the performance better than it was, or any comments at all.

The domain name and email addresses should be available soon.

And I would like to thank the opportunity to present to you the new "Member" level on the form... Salvation Member, I think you can guess what it means :D

Splendid stuff ! Welcome back everybody. Dreams Never End :)

This is very strange - feels like regaining one's consciousness after major surgery and finding that certain parts of the body aren't quite functioning properly... for instance, besides losing lots of messages and threads, this particular thread says SEVEN replies on the menu but only three in reality. How bizarre!.......

Let's hope the initial teething troubles of this new set-up can be overcome then.... ;)

Well, I had some database problems earlier, which might explain the reply thing, did anyone lose a post?

Sure thing is, I'm a little mad at myself for losing yesterday's posts and I'm a little worried there isn't more on here right now.

Now let's hope everything will get back to normal. As far as I know, the only "problem" right now is a design problem in the fanclub continent selection page and the tours & concerts concert selection page, which should be fixed tomorrow...

If everyone else works, I'll be ready when the domain goes back! Let's just hope I won't be removed from search engines :D

Nicolas, I'm not sure what's happening, but people are still posting at the old site.

I like the new look,

It's cool you added the Salvation member, but how about the Get Ready member? Maybe 1-50 you could be a member of get ready, or put "Needs to" Get ready?

Just an idea?

 Is this a parrallel universe?

Just testing again here - this time using the Netscape browser on my IMac instead of the Internet Explorer one I usually use (which has given me no problems except on this new site - for some reason everything was sticking, thus preventing me from loggin in a keying replies). This one is all right except that it's still slow, but this time round I cannot even reach the "Log In" menu at the far far right hand side of the top menu bar - as the page won't open up wide enough for me to access it - only allowing me to get as far as "Account" and then not going any further on the next drop-down menu..... Oh, and by the way I STILL get the "syntax / incorrect code, etc" error message the moment after I've hit the "log in" button after keying in my password and email address... what are these teething problems all about? I don't get it.....is this site only workable on very select browsers or something??

Also - I just found out I cannot even click back in to edit my own message instead I get this same error message again:

Active Server Pages error 'ASP 0126' Include file not found/edit_message. asp. line 72The include file 'include/menu. inc' was not found.

What is all this about? Can't seem to be able to sort the problem out!!

This message was keyed in using the "quote message" icon.

  • which seems to work for some reason, whilst the "edit post" one just gives me that error message.... :( :(

Hey Nic, how long is the site safe for? Which option did you go with?

Sometimes, I'll click on a thread to and nothing will come up on the screen besides the blue border. Hope it doesn't sound like Im whinging. Just having afew difficulties accessing the page. Anyone else having any problems besides the few who have posted ?

Damn it, those fools let the domain active, talk about stupidity. Ah well, at least it gives me time to advertise the switch, since I'll have to wait almost a week before it's done...

I guess I fixed it. As for the rest, I'll have to work with you on it, because it's very weird. The author of the menus is confident it works great on Mac, if you tell me you have a problem, I'll see what I can do.

We're supposed to be good for ONE FULL YEAR.

I took the cheap option, to don't have to beg everyone each month, it seems pretty stable now, and so far I have no reason to doubt it will be slow or giving problems.

Except for Martin, he seems to be a victim of the new menus :D I'm hoping I'll find something, because I sure don't have a Mac to test the site on..

You don't see the message when typing? oh boy, that one's strange. We'll have to do some tests, email me (Martin and You) and I'll see exactly what you're doing and I will make temporary pages just to find the problem.

As I said, I don't have a mac, so I can't find myself the problem.. I'm guessing it's the CSS and due to the colored scrollbar or something, because the messages are written in a plain old text area...

This one is the right one, the other one was supposed to be shut down in the move.. it looks like someone powered the computer by mistake!! Well, I won't yell, but I sure hope people will come here and visit the temporary site instead of filling the forum over there, where all posts will be lost.

Fixed it, the old site will redirect it for the time it will be up and running.

hello everyone...i was at the old site for a while...that's what happens when you bookmark the forum :D

Err, I'm having the same problem as Martin, I can't edit my own posts. Other than that, everything seems fine. It's a lot quicker than the old one.

Good to be back...

I don't know if someone else alreaday adressed that but you can't access the very old posts.

It's much worse in the french forum, where you only have accessed to one page and 4 or 5 subjects on the 2nd...

That must have something to do with some date, I guess...

Nice design by the way...
