I'm sorry but I'm having a posting frenzy at the moment. Anyway, does anyone remember a 12" by the above named band that was released on Factory in the mid-80's sometime. I think the lead track was called Deep Sleep and all the songs on this 12" sounded suspiciously like NO.
I was wondering whether NO did have anything to do with this or was it just 'soundalikes'?
I have in my hands the aforementioned 12" (ooer missus) FAC116 Deep Sleep with a writing credit (Lyons/Wright-Williams). It would appear not to be New Order, though most bands on Factory were all said to sound like them (or Joy Division). I also have a copy of "The Quick Neat Job" feturing "Theme" by BE Music which was New Order (or some of them), does anyone know of any legitimate releases by New Order under another name (which weren't side projects)?
