There's no more inspiration together, i'm afraid that's the truth.

I hope he's just taking the piss. Maybe (remembering the Argentinian interview) he just enjoys to do it with Spanish language journalists? Waiting for Steve Morris to say the opposite. I hope... Anyway I want those other songs from the WFTSC session! They should have been the B sides, they wanted to make them a new album, well album or not, let us hear them...

hope this helps a bit. An amusing translation and hook seems ambigious. But that could be just the translation.

BEARISH PETER HOOK OF NEW ORDER “There is no future for New Order, we will never touch together more” “To puncture it is very easy, if I can do it, anyone can”, affirms the mythical bear, that foreseeably in September it will release disc with his new musical project Last night acted in FAMA of Gijón, in the Park of Piles J. CEZÓN//M.F.A. GIJÓN

MUSICIAN. Peter Hook puts next to the scene of the Asturian Festival of Music Outpost. /J. BILBAO To printTo send IF, Nayo and David Mallada, in the Albéniz

A myth is everything. Joy Division and New Order are the names that gloss the race of this bear of Manchester reconverted dj. It yesterday shaped his good one for making in plates in the Asturian Festival of Music Outpost (FAMA), that was celebrated in the enclosure of the Fair of Samples of Gijón and that today emigrates to the Albéniz room. Peter Hook, likeable and good natured, responds concise, laughs and announces that his under he will not return to sound next to New Order.

  • How, when and so that he decided to become dj?

  • It was fault of Peanut (the bear of Primal Scream that accompanied to him yesterday in Gijón). It persuaded to me so that he now made in Barcelona two years ago and means, had never considered it before, and the truth is that it is very well, amuses much to me.

  • It is very different to touch in a band, feels single in the scene?

  • Yes, you feel sometimes single and vulnerable, but you must act because there is people listening. Without a doubt there are differences, but also similarities with touching in a group.

  • I have read that Peanut said to him in an occasion that to be dj is a good way that they pay to you by emborracharte. Agrees?

  • Laughter. I no longer drink. But he drank, is certain that it is good way to emborrachar itself free.

  • What you of electronic music thought about the eighty? Creía really that he would get to be what is today?

  • The truth is could not imagine that it was going to last as much time. To be honest, today surprising everything turns out to me what there am been doing during last the thirty years. It is like when you are going to act and you put yourself nervous, because for me it is always as if it was beginning.

  • Thirty years and still is put nervous?

  • Yes. If you are not nervous not you are doing well it.

  • What sounds of electronic music interest more to him?

  • I like music dances, like which Tiga does.

  • And it likes to also dance?

  • Yes (laughter). I like music dances, but when I act people hope that she puts music independent, of the eighty…

  • And does?

  • I put dances and something more.

  • Cree that the figure of dj today is magnified? Piensa that one has become a star of the rock and roll?

  • Perhaps No, he was much worse in the ninety, now is falling a little that image.

  • Here in Spain not as much…

  • Perhaps in Spain it happens, because it lives a little while very amused and it goes behind, but not in England.

  • By certain, the future of music is in dj's?

  • No, to puncture it is very easy, if I can do it everybody can do it.

  • We speak of New Order. Which is its favorite imitador?

  • The Cure, I suppose, many other groups copy to us but The Cure is the one that more.

  • Which is the future of the band?

  • There is no future for New Order, we are not going to never touch together more.

  • We followed then in the old times. What memories have of the Factory seal?

  • I have many good memories and the majority, but, although the form was very sad in which it finished, the certain thing is that here we followed.

  • I suppose that hours will have seen film “24 party people”. Is a faithful picture of the old times of the moved one of Madchester?

  • Yes, I have seen several times it, is, although very well more exaggerated than a cartoons and more amused than the real life.

  • We return to the present. It has a project with Peanut, of Primal Scream, and Andy Rourke, of The Smiths. When we will be able to listen to its music?

  • We are looking for a singer, but the truth is that we were not able to find it.

  • But what type of singer looks for?

  • Of any class, but we did not find it, so that we are in the way. It will be well, music is good.

  • Tendremos to hope much?

  • He will be ready as soon as we finish (laughter).

  • And that will be?

  • I do not know it, probably in September.

Well, first Hooky and Steve make that comment a few months ago, and then they retract it and pretty much just say "who knows, anything can happen", and now this? I don't know. Even if the band said "that's it! we're done!", I won't take that as a finalized thing. Maybe with another band, and not out of wishful thinking, but its just how the band is and looking at things realistically, because, no one really knows what could happen years down the road. He could also be joking. You never know with these guys. And didn't Barney himself say several times in the past "never again!".. and they never split. They should do what they wanna do right now. If its the side projects again, then they should do it, get it out of their systems, enjoy it. Thats what music is meant to be. To enjoy it. To enjoy making it. So, given the fact that Hooky's doing his thing with Freebass and there's word on the street (supposedly by Neil Tennant and Johnny Marr in brief vague mentions), that Electronic might be working together soon and have some ideas on the table, I say it's just gonna be like 1989-1993 again. Side projects and then a new New Order album or tour. I wouldn't worry about this too much. Either way, I can't see either of them giving up music altogether, ever.

don´t shoot the messenger! this is just information i pasted, i´m not saying they´ll do this. in fact i think these kind of stuff must be taken as pure speculation, even if it comes right from a NO member. history says this is not the first time one of them says something like this and it happens the opposite so...

N.O will last forever, anyway. Just for one reason: they are an emblem.

Anyone who's studied a bit of Spanish should have no trouble getting the message, which is exactly as Almanso translated it.

This one's been on and off ever since a certain Ian kicked the proverbial bucket. If we've any brains - and I'd like to think that as NO fans we do - we'll just wait for official gig/release info and stop wasting each other's time. I've just seen the latest Melanie C video and need to sit in the fridge for a bit.

Exactly, no worries.

Really?? Why, what does she DO?

It's her leather jumpsuit.

I'd be a bit sad if they didn't record again *cough1993cough*, for my own selfishness as a fan - but really.. if they aren't meshing and don't want to produce music together and can't agree on things - it may be for the best? Dead horse flogging and all that? :skeptic:

THE TONE OF DISCUSSION SEEMS A LOT MORE SERIOUS IN 2007 COMPARED TO WHAT IT WAS LIKE IN 1993 WHICH MAKES ME THINK THAT THEY MEAN IT THIS TIME, BUT DON'T START A THREAD ON ANYTHING COMPARING THE PAST TO THE PRESENT BECAUSE IT MAY JUST GET DELETED WITH NO EXPLAINATION!
