Just been to the best gig ever! The Bunnymen still rock, just seen them at the cream in liverpool and they were brilliant. Anyone go or does anyone like the bunnymen?

Im a fan .. Not a fanatic but I have most of their records. Saw them play Sydney last year and it was a great show ... Still listen to 'Songs to Learn and Sing' quite often ...
Bit of a fan - although I have to confess I only have Songs To Learn & Sing, fookin love that album!! Have a few of their other singles as well. Always say I'll get their stuff - but I never get round to it - lazy bastard me
EATB interesting fact for today - Ian McCulloch sang backing vocals to "The Best Days Of Our Lives" a Celtic song released last month - which got to Number 17 in the UK charts;)

Hey Mitch, don't worry about missing their tour. They only played over 18's venues so you wouldn't of been able to go anyway ...
Still like 'em, Heaven Up Here is my fave, with Ocean Rain a close second.

Well, now after the first Echo & The Bunnymen gig in this tiny Brazilian tour I'm ready to say some words about the group. The concert yesterday was really amazing, with 22 songs (!), loads of early stuff like "Do It Clean", "Rescue" and "Crocodiles" and some surprises like "Over The Wall" and "Roadhouse Blues" (yes, that one from The Doors).
This is a photo I took at the gig (it's cool to be a credentialed photographer :D)
And I have attedend at the press conference as well. Ian McCulloch really thinks he is a genius and his group is the best thing since Velvet Underground, The Doors, David Bowie or whatever. When someone asked about the Finsbree Park gig and "24 Hour Party People" movie he told us that he was not allowed to enter the set (I think it was only a joke) and that there is no reason to make a film about Factory Records (this time he was NOT joking). "I would be interested in a movie about Russian Revolution, but never about Factory Records", he argued. At this point, I had to control myself to not smash my camera in his head!

Ian McCulloch may be a tosser (British slang is fun), but I have to admit I still enjoy Echo & The Bunnymen music.
