I know the other band members must be gutted at the break up, but I'm not sure if they spat at barney for it.......

Hmmm... maybe not so much the spit per se, but more likely the clearing of the throat that takes place towards the end of Lonesome Tonight, perhaps?

And besides, who exactly needs another Electronic album anyway? :evil4: :skeptic: :shades:

Would be kinda stupid I think, since they just released a 'best of'.....which I think was stupid in the first place. 'best of' for three albums that mostly no one ever heard, other than die hard fans. So your only market is for people that probably already have all three.....stupid:crazy:

I don't know, I used to love Electronic, but as time goes, it isn't aging all that well. I'm starting to love Monaco more....I would look forward to another Monaco album though.

Well, if Hooky's Freebass "project" doesn't work out I suppose he could always reform Revenge and give that another outing.... ;) :evil4:

I think Barney will gear up for a get together with Marr Hooky got back with Potsy, so I am sure there will be another Electronic getting back together that will be cool!:) It is a shame that New Order is over now:( hey I want to keep those memories.

Missy:love2:

Hooky's dark shades:shades: Hooky's leather jacket:blush:

concerning the non existing sales of the best of, I doubt there will be a next Electronic album. I would prefer a Bernard Sumner solo album, with songs like "behind closed doors" and called "Intimacy" :D

You guys ARE kidding about wanting a Barney solo project instead of a fourth Electronic album...right?

I mean, you ARE taking the piss...right?

Solo material from Bernard could be interesting and IMO some kind of collaboration like what he did with the Chemical Brothers/Primal Scream could materialise in the non too distant future. Like already mentioned I don't think he'll get back with Johnny Marr/re-launch Electronic and my feeling is any new output from Bernard will be of a low key nature. Cheers!:thumb:

Johnny's busy with Modest Mouse. Electronic's sales plummeted since 1991. Sumner as a solo artist brand (with or without a new band) seems to be the way forward.

Just no stale session musicians lest someone will be having a whine about that quote he did for 'Punk and the Perfect Beat' all those years ago. :evil4:

I can get behind a solo effort for Sumner. Heck, I would still love another Other Two long player. Maybe I just like the music these people create?

Hells yeah, I'd like to see another Other Two album! I suspect we'll see a New Order album before that happens, though.

I think Marr is done, musically. I haven't heard anything great out of him since 91, like you said. That he's with Modest Mouse proves it.:smoking:

I think Barney would be wiser than to try to resurect a band that really never took off. Not many didn´t bother with the Best of Electronic.
At least a new name or solo. Electronic, Monaco, Revenge, The other 2 are all dead and should stay that way.

death. glare. end. of.

I'd rather hear the return of Monaco and/or The Other Two.

ETA [edited to add] Though I will admit, a solo Barney might not be so bad either.

I do NOT know where this rumor came from, but I am now hearing that Barney is considering replacing Bryan Ferry as the lead singer for Roxy Music!!!
