Nah we do!! Lets scrape every last bit we can from these summer gigs and really work hard on our reviews and post-gig analysis! I for one am going to pull out all the stops for a finsbury &manchester review - i expect other diehard fans to do the same.. c'mon its your duty (like a soldier!! ;) )

btw, anyone get any photos of the gigs?

Must admit I enjoyed the Saturday night festivities much more than the gig itself...but that might of been because of my failure to recover from the inevitable hangover.

I thought the gig was OK and highlights were Brutal, SLC and Digital just because it was something different.

Its a great set list in itself, especially if you only plan on seeing them once or twice, but overall its getting abit boring now.

AOC, DNE, EGG, Sunrise - how difficult can it be to add these instead of Close Range, 60MPH, Rock the Track and Love Will?

Mr Jarvis: the "jaded arch-cynic" quip was meant affectionately, and will now be jettisoned entirely following your "still the best band in the world" assertion.

Unless, of course, you like to be thought of as a jaded arch-cynic. In which case we ought to get some t-shirts made up......

I have mixed feelings about all of this.

As I couldn't make it, I'm, in some kind of way, relieved to know I didn't miss too much...

But at the same time, I'm still disappointed I could'nt make it, as I've only seen The Order once (fist Paris gig last year)...

I personally thought it to be one of the best N.O. shows I've seen.

The energy & excitement on stage was mirrored among the local & EX-UK fans. The band seemed to be having the time of their lives - even with Hookys guitar-tech apparently intentionally handing him the wrong instrument on at least 3 occasions, he played directly to and for the fans in what I saw to be a really friendly gig.

Will try to post full review etc tomorrow... tis late now!

I agree with Brother Dale... was a fucking amazing gig, and all those people whinging weren't there!!!

Had the best weekend ever, fucking brilliant...

It sounded more like (to me at least) "this is completely my version" before True Faith, as in a Barney remix. Sounded good though.

Agreeing with Mickey Way. It is becoming predictable. I look forward so much to the gigs but what about that vast catalogue of songs we never hear? Replace Touched, TF, BM, Temptation,BLT, for equally BRILLIANT tracks that are never heard but all from the same time: Sunrise, Shellshock, Subculture, Lonesome Tonight. And if we have a good world cup we've got to have World in Motion!

Make Old Trafford special this Summer with some of those ones. Brilliant band but far too many great tracks that are just never heard anymore. Come on Guys!

Oust "Temptation"??? Don't we all go "predicatably" apeshit every time they do this? And its kinda "predictable" that my heart goes all doo-lally at the "green eyes/blue eyes/grey eyes" bit. Even the much-maligned BLT would be missed: "predictable" chorus sent direct from the stars and all that. Sometimes its nice to know what's coming up.

I actually thought BM was one of the best songs they did on Sunday - I always like the laser show that accompanies it.

I do agree that it would be weird without Ceremony, Temptation and BLT in the set.

I thought the version of TF was really good as well on Sunday but wouldn't be unhappy for it to be replaced by an older NO song.

I think someone mentioned over the weekend that they were practising some old NO stuff which got my hopes up a bit too much and hence the minor disappointment about the set list apart from SLC and Digital.

I too go bleary eyed during Temptation so perhaps we'll keep that 1 but like I said, we need something 'old and fresh!' Substance 1987, Brotherhood and Low-Life are rich with classics that are so dear to us all.

I think they should drop playing it but do something more fancy like get a whole bunch of robots to do it in the style of Kraftwerk. I saw them (Kraftwerk) at the Apollo and the bots came on and did 'The Robots'. It was quite extraordinary and rather amusing as one of them seemed a little faulty. Probably a passing taxi radio confused it.

It was all done very hurriedly so there was no malice intended in NOT inviting Jim or his mate in with us.

The promoter was expecting me to say 4 when he asked how many people I wanted to get in to the "aftershow". When I said 25 he just stared at me blankly. "it'll be fine mate - I promise..."

Someone should just have grabbed Jim or told me who he was and there would have been no problem...

Don't worry Steve, Jarvos only joking. It was quite devastating watching you all walk by all walk in and me and poor old Deano left out in the cold, and sorry again for having the arse. Still, it was great to meet you all and I hope we can all get together again at Finsbury.

With footie hype now almost at fever pitch i wouldnt be surprised for us to get WIM as an encore at Finsbury... of course i guess that largely could depend on how Englands first two games go! - well at Least Barney wont have to sing it! I F ;) we do well in our first two games i'd imagine the footie fans in the crowd would be in fine voice!!
