They've lost control (and got brutal!)

So, here's my review of yesterday's concert in Paris, le Zénith:

First, Doves as a support was excellent -I think I've never seen such a good support band at a NO gig so far. Seeing Hooky and his kids watching them performing from backstage was nice too...

The setlist: Crystal (usual long version) Transmission Regret Ceremony (crowd went mental on this one) 60 mph Atmosphere (shortened in the end by Hooky - getting bored?) Brutal (unexpected!) Close Range She's lost control (so did the crowd!!) BLT (nice flashlight effects there) True Faith Temptation LWTUA

Encore: Digital (!!!) RTS Blue Monday

Encore #2: Your silent face (with no bass played -tech prob it seems)

A very good performance, although the Barnster announced they didn't played live since February and thus they might mess around with some songs..

Indeed, the best experience for me was to meet NOOnliners in the venue -Jarvo first, then J. Giles, Dave Hibell, Liv, Kez and all from the British contingent :) For a birthday party (mine), it was the best in years!!

And I forgot to thank El 'Monster' Jarvo for his nice little Viking gift! Thanks again, mate!

Pah! what about convulsive fits, audience surveys, how hot it was, what number bus you got home, your position relative to Mr Hook's? It's just not detailed enough.

Many litres (no just water though). To shimmerin ian: I was in front of hooky most of the time, but it happened that a white and red flag often prevented me from seeing him ;)

Sorry if this is a stupid question but what's Digital? I don't think I've ever heard it before.

That's a joke surely..... "Brutal" is crap!

Actually sounded OK live though. They played both SLC and Brutal, and no doubt will again at Finsbree ! Digital sounded great, more powerful with 2nd geetar.
