I'm trying to sort out my music files
and came across a cover of the Velvet Underground's 'Run run run' done by NO and/or the Bunnymen. I haven't been able to find any information regarding that song (the tag says it was recorded in '87). I need some help, please :D

Cheers, thanks mate ![]()
So where will you file it? a) under Echo & the Bunnymen b) new order c) Bernard Sumner d) Velvet underground??
It was the Bunnymen's encore, and only Bernard came on to join them. I think Mac had joined the Order on stage for their encore at one of the other gigs on that tour.

Was that for Ceremony?
An interesting fact is that every relevant NEWorder gigography webpage has deleted that track from the set list since I've visited those gigography pages the first time.

What about the Liverpool 1986 encore, Barney on The Lloyd Collection's cover of Maggie's Farm?
Mmmhh... - nowhere mentioned as far as I know. I didn't know that this track exist.

That Ceremony had been in 1986 at G-Mex. I think Mac joined them for a Sister Ray on the 87 tour. Cleveland maybe?

Tock shared it at Dime with the Smiths' set from the same night. It was the final encore of the night and obviously wasn't received well. I uploaded the FLAC here:

Obviously not one of the unforgettable moments, but I guess that's Barney strumming in there somewhere once the track finally starts.

I don't remember anyone "notable" joining The Lloyd Collective. As I remember it, the Maggie's Farm thing was met with derision from the crowd... and rightly so.
Alan Wise does introduce both "Bernard Albrecht" and John Cooper Clarke in the recording, but other than that it's hard to tell whether Barney plays in it or not.
Shit encore, I agree, but I guess they just wanted to piss off the Smiths fans.

I - and surely others - got the gig in mp3 files, if you're satisfied with that, send me a request via e-mail.
