I was listening to The Perfect Kiss last night in my car and normally at the end when I hear the frogs I just chuckle.. last night was different though. I actually thought about it. I am not sure if anyone has thought about it or if this is true but I was thinking about the cause of the frogs.

My theory: There is an old Fairy Tale (I am sure you all know it) where a Princess kisses a frog and the frog becomes a Prince, and they live happily ever after blah blah blah...

Well in thinking about this, The Perfect Kiss could have been the one the Princess gave the FROG to become a Prince..

Does anyone think this could be the reason for the frogs at the end of the song or just some crazy coincidence..

Oh, my strange mind..

Nice theory, April, but, in the mean time, according to the song, the perfect kiss is the kiss of death, so... Then again, there could be more than one meaning. Who knows ?

April, I think you are quite right with your frog theory, because I've heard it before. I read somewhere that the song is about a man who goes on an arranged date with someone who is a friend of a friend. The seemingly sweet romance bears a severe consequence as he later finds out that his date has HIV. Thus the "perfect kiss" is the kiss of death. The prince turns out to be lethal indeed. That's what I read about the song and the lyrics fit into that story. Well, can anyone tell what those sheep symbolise on Fine Time???

If you listen very carefully at the end of Perfect Kiss, there is a sheep sound. I thought the PerFect Kiss was about masturbation.I know SubCulture is about shagging. Well...er... I may be wrong on this one.

Pretending not to see his gun,I said "Let's go out and have some fun".

People see links at masturbation in every New Order songs..

You should go in the articles and see the Cash For Questions interview with Bernard about that matter (when he was asked if Touched by the Hand of God is about "Whacking up")

Been there , done that. The "Cash for Questions " interview that is. ;) Over here in Blighty we have countless phrases to describe that kind of activity.I think we're obsessed by it. See how I've managed to turn this thread by April from the innocence of a frog and a princess into a rampant masturbation frenzy. Sorry April.

Anyway ,on something completley different. As England thrashed Germany 5-1,I wonder if a 'World in Motion' remix might be on the cards???

See what happens when you talk about something innocent in front of a man :p Maybe I should go ask Barney himself! Although I am not sure he would give me a straight answer either... :p
