Can't he go back to acting in Coronation Street?

This is a joke right?

You are telling me the drummer (not the keyboardist) for the legendary Joy Division is in need of work?

LOL

Gillian & him need to make another album. You'd think the royalties would be enough, just heard "Age of Consent" on a friggin Cingular Wireless commercial last week. Maybe he can do a Sunkist commercial.

Back catalogue owned by Warners, they therefor no longer get the same royalties they got from Factory but the same 50p per album as the rest of the cattle :(

Er, they never really got that much royalties from Factory did they?

Even if they did, it was probably forcibly poured into the Hacienda causing the 1993-98 "If I ever see your face again it'll be too soon" hiatus and all the side projects amongst other things.

I think they probably made more money from London/Centredate in one initial lump sum than they ever did from Factory. Otherwise they would've just stuck with Electronic/Monaco/O2 rather than bothering their arses with New Order from 2000-2006.

Factory may have been a cool as fuck label to be on... but I bet the pay was rubbish

he could just do gigs as a drummer for other bands...be a studio musician...

shouldnt think he has to worry about money too much, if things get bad, he could always use the tank to make a withdrawal from the bank, c'mon, it beats using a sawn off shotgun:evil4:

Doesn't Bernard get the lion's share of the royalties, anyway?

This whole story is a result of someone failing to appreciate Steve's sense of humour.

don't think so tim, they had a "discussion" about such matters in 98ish to solve such discrepancies, just as long as barney had enough for his boat and steve had enough for tank fuel:evil4:

That's unbelievable.

He and Gillian should do another studio album. The Other Two is my favorite side project band, and they have the least number of studio albums compard to Hook and barney.

Indeed!

Let's just assume that the back catalog royalties get split equally (as they were all listed as songwriters), would that not mean that half of the cash is being dropped off at his address?
