Anyone interested in a splice-remix/re-edit project?

Hi Guys - I'm of the vintage where making tape-slice remixes and DJ Razormaid / Hot Tracks / etc 12"s were big fun. It was a great part of remix/DJ-culture which seems to have gone away in recent years in preference to the reinterpretive style of remix, which is a hit & miss affair in my mind - with respect to NO, IMHO the likes of Koma & Bones on Confusion is at one (brilliant) end of this spectrum, and the Lionrock mixes of 1963 are at the other (throwaway) end.

Who, then, might be interested in a remix/reedit project based entirely on mash-ups/cut-ups of existing tracks? An example of what I'm talking about would be Peter Black's 586 white label remix. It's much easier these days using waveform editing than the good old days of pause-edits on a tape machine :)

Maybe this could make for an interesting Community 3? Or maybe just it could end up as poorly-kept secret white label double 12" (I have access to pressing through my proper label).

Thoughts/suggestions?

Sounds like a bit of fun, most people could have a go, don't know where we'd post them to listen to though, I don't think nic would be too hapy receiving tons of emails with mp3 attachments, but I'll have a go and probably put something on myspace or similar, got to think of a song now!!!

I've already done a club remix of Doubts Even Here (no, not the cover I submitted for Community). I think it turned out pretty well.

Though I know little about remixing/ editing songs professionally, I'd be interested in playing around with various NO songs. So I'm in. :)
