I wonder if the entire Belo Horizonte pro-shot recording (besides that admittedly atrocious version of BLT, not because of this 'Alexis' fellow, mind you) has surfaced...

Isn't this from the third show of the South American 06 tour?
If I remember correctly...
New Order were really out of place at this festival...which was more fo a hard rock and pop festival..
Not only that....
But New Order didn't get to do a soundcheck before playing this show...the organization of the festival was really screowed up. They didn't get to go on until late....they didn't get a sound check...the crowd didn't appreciatw them..no wonder they were pissed.
However...
New Order did an AMAZING show later on on this tour. Thier performance at the Rio Personal Fest 06 was one of thier best....the crowd loved them, they played really well, they were all in a good mood, feeding off of the crowds energy...see the video footage on Youtube..it shows.
wish no would do nothing but jd songs for a few concerts...i'd even fly on a plane even though i'm terrified of flying to another state to see them.

Bit confused why this is supposedly soooo awful? It's just New Order doing BLT like New Order always do BLT!
Or are our Norf American brethren offended by people jumping up and down in the audience and singingalong to the song! Heathens! 
edit: just fast-forwarded to the end of this, and they've cut the bit where Barney keeps asking, "Who was that? Who was that on stage?" which is kinda funny, but a bit harsh to say in Brazil where the geezer appeared to be more famous than the band themselves!
Bernard does look worn out. I wonder why? Maybe he was exhausted during that tour or on that particular day or maybe he hates to sing the same song for a 100th time.

So he's famous over there? I wondered myself who was that guy. I thought it must have been one of the promoters or, rather oddly, just a Brazilian fan?

That guy is the singer of a reggae band called Manitu. I had never heard of them before but they may have some local success.
Im a huge fan of the band, but Im sick to death of Bizarre Love Triangle, I can only imagine how sick to death of it the band must be.
Plus it just doesnt translate to live performance. When Bernard sings it live he sounds like he's constipated, like he's TRyING to sing it as strained as possible. It just doesnt work.

Man, this is the time I miss the Barney dance. I would definitely like to see that rather than Barney constipated and a guest singer who... well, nevermind.

The only worse thing was the temperature in the stadium. First Day in Brazil with 12° C. BLT was okay.
Seb, if you think that was a freak show you should had seen the rest of the weekend shows...

I thought that BLT at Reading '98 was very good. That whole show was top notch IMO.
