Not that anyone actually gives a fuck.....

Not quite a town crier announcing demise, as Wilsonian legend would have it, but Digital are no more.

Over the last few months, we've all had increasing and changing work commitments, which has meant that we've had less chance to rehearse, and have had to turn down several gig offers as various band members were out of the country. We've had to do the last couple of gigs without the full quota of band members, and that places an additional strain, so we've decided to call it a day with immediate effect.

It's been fun, we'll all have some great memories of the gigs we did, featuring on Community, and of course NOOL Day. I'm starting a new band, Jim's taking a break for a while, and Jon is thinking over a drumming slot with a local covers band.

Thank you all for all your support these last four years. :thumb:

I give a fuck, Tim. I'm really sorry to have never caught you.

Maybe there'll be a Digital tribute band one day?

Next best thing to the next best thing!

Yeah, what she said. :\ohwell: Meh, I still think you guys sound ace on TPK [at least, the demo I DL'd from the Digital site].

Which is safe to say that, yes, I do give a fuck.

Hope to hear some new stuff from the new band soon, Tim!! :hugs: :thumb:

Yes, bit sad really but there you go. It was good whilst it lasted but unfortunately good things don't last forever. Times move on and so do we. I especially enjoyed NOOL day where it was great to meet so many of you and for me fulfilled one of my dreams when I was young.

I echo Tim and the rest of the band when I say thanks for coming along to our gigs and supporting us / shouting at us/ throwing beer at us/ not crossing the road when seeing us in the street.

Digital was a good laugh for me and hopefully I will see you all again soon (probably at a bleedin' re : order gig....) ;)

Ach pish Tim!

Was looking forward to the suggested Oirish dates in the Autumn.

Jim, sellin yer bass? :D

Work commitments? You haven't got a fucking job!

Seriously, its a shame you've had to give something up you obviously had such a passion for, but you might "rise from the ashes of Digital" (is this gonna be in the NME?).

Sorry to hear that, Tim and co... Digital were great at Blue Saturday... I shall continue wear my Digital t-shirt with pride... Best of luck for all future projects... :thumb:

I heard them but didn't see them because nobody was watching the damned shop

And since I cared a bit, I checked to make sure Tim didn't get bankrupted of people stealing shirts ;)

I'm still waiting for the DVD!

Well Spotnick to be completely fair and honest without your site, none of this would have happened really. So, thank you very much :thumb:

Big shame. Enjoyed you at Blue Saturday and at Cartoon Club, but especially enjoyed the electocution session at the Spread Eagle.

Good luck for the future folks. I dare say there will be New Order/Joy Division influences in whatever you do later.

No chance i'll make sure you're barred after your drunken behaviour at our last Dublin Castle gig, you were very very naughty and yes i will be crossing the road when next i see you.

Anyway some great memories, my fave Digital gig was the Brixton jamm nite Atrocity Exhibition was superb... not as good as our version tho

Thanks for all your good wishes. I've enjoyed it over the last four years but I for one am ready for a change - and I'm getting way too old to play Transmission.

Highlights for me were getting on the Community I sampler and main CDs - which is why we formed in the first place - our first gig at the Hope and Anchor; playing on the same bill as Tony Wilson (Glasgow) and Hooky (NOOL day '06) and getting to know some of you guys - especially Tim, Jim, Phil and the Re:Order boys.

Like Jim, I expect I'll see some of you at a Re:Order gig at some point........

That the Atrocity Exhi. that's out over on the mySpace page. If so, Great. More than slightly crushed that the Digital chapter seemed to end so fast and in this way. Party poopers! Digital goes all Disorder. Yet if the chapter closed and the Undercurrent got it then Truly- Best 'o Luck w/ all things that get the Future energies.

hey now...I was manning the stall during flight and Pottsy...I figured the least I could get was a chance to see Digital and re: order...

I say we blame Jem and Bonz...but that's just how I roll, it's never MY fault!!!

Speaking of which...I never got MY ticket...and the fucking bastard at the door didn't wanna let me in after I had run to the hotel to get the hangars...

ah well...at least I can remember the night, I don't much think Jem can say the same...

I had the best view in the house at NOOLday.

I have this vision of seeing ULU's engineer wince when JRJR yanked his bass lead without turning his amp down....I just said "I told you they were a NO tribute act mate",

For a moment I WAS New Order's engineer, and for that I will love yous all forever ;)

Speaking of which Tim.....

Course it was. I learned all my apalling stagecraft from Hooky too....plugging in and out live, noodling between songs, and ALWAYS getting the last note.

I made your bass sound (I hope) fucking evil at times, if Tim every gets a tape to me I'll know for sure.

The only greater honour the entire night was Will "barneying" about the sequencer

It was good to see you live, guys.

Splitting up at the same time the band you are covering the songs of is splitting, is probably the ultimate homage!
