Has anyone got any good ideas for a New Order or Joy Division related tattoo to go on my forearm. I was intending to get the factory records "f" logo done, but if anyone has a better idea let me know. The tattooist is booked for 10.30 6th jun so hurry Cheers Andy

It's a bit difficult adapting one of Savilles great designs to fit on my forearm. If anyone knows any good links where I may be able to get ideas and download stuff for the tattooist that would also be appreciated.
im thinking of getting the melody of LWTUA on my back, or the zig zag thing (like lots of diamonds getting bigger then smaller) from the EGG cover (think thats the one?!?)
Other than that, i dunno. I asked the same question about 6 months ago... cant remember what people suggested....

when i had mine done i toyed with the little factory symbol rather than the letters. shouldnt scab too much but you will have to have it covered up & avoid it getting too wet for a few days...
Are you sure you want a New Order tatoo? We all know how great NO are but think that in thirty years time you may look like a bloke with a "The Crickets" or a "Sinatra rules!" tattoo. You´ll spend your whole old age explaining to your grandchildren that NO were the greatest British rock band (what was rock grandadddy?, what was a band?, where was Britain?)
Thought about the thirty years time bit. The good thing about either fac47 (gear and caliper thingy) or the "f" logo is that they would look ok just as an annonymous design. It's not like I want "NEW ORDER" tattooed. Anyway I'll be 65 then and I guess I'll have forgot what it means anyway!! The probable design will probably be the "f" combined with 33 as in ceremony. Unless you lot come up with something better.
The entire reproduction of the abstract painting on the cover of the 1981-1982 Mini-Lp would be a good one to do - nice and colourful and maximum density of dye-penetration too.....if you want a striking tat, best go the whole hog methinks.....besides, it fits nicely, wrapped around the arm...
The deed is done. 6" factory logo is on for life. Thanks for all your suggestions and encouragement. Look for a fat 35 yr old jumping up and down looking like a heart attack is iminant at the Move gig on 13th July
