BBC4 Factory Documentary?

I'm sure i read in one of the papers at the weekend (article by Paul Morley? Maybe the Observer?) that there was going to be a Factory documentary on BBC4 soon, planned before Tony's death (the Joy Division documentary was also mentioned). left the paper on the train back from Manchester. Anyone know anything about this?

Chris Rodley has made some documentaries and edited two very good books of interviews with David Lynch and David Cronenberg.

I'm on the BBC4 mailing list. It's worth the weekly mail. Very good channel.

Anyhow, they regularly have themed nights. I'll bet that the documentary will be followed with other factory related treats.

"FACTORY: Manchester from Joy Division to Happy Mondays

In a dark, northern city in the late 70s, five dreamers built a record label – Factory; 3 classic bands – Joy Division, New Order and Happy Mondays, and Britain’s first super club – The Hacienda.

Led by Tony Wilson, they created a unique collision between conceptual art and street music. This is the story of how a TV presenter(Wilson), an out of work actor(Alan Erasmus), an art student(Peter Saville), a DJ(Rob Gretton) and an aspiring record producer(Martin Hannett) pioneered Britain’s independent pop culture, imagined a new Manchester, and blew a shed-load of money.
