Even though i just made a bit of dosh i have decided NOT to purchase ANY of these items.YES they are EXPENSIVE but also i won't have ANY room to keep them.Indeed i have just thrown away ALL my NEW ORDER magazines and gave away HALF my collection of RECORDS(not NEW ORDER ONES) to charity.I think the book on BARNEY will be bought for £12 but that is it.I must be getting too old to worry about THINGS.

and i can gurantee you that if new order brought out socks, (with 3 pairs in a pack), Steve one would go in the attic, count all his boxes of pumps, and order the same number of pairs.

well it says something about it if people like me who have endless quantities of JD-NO records/CDs/posters etc etc etc have no intention of buying pretty much any of it at those prices. I may pick up the reissue CDs at some point but none of the rest.

So, who is this all supposed to appeal to? Rich investors only? All this stuff will only circulate round and round on eBay 'til the end of time.

that's just more money to spend and more money in their pockets. enough already!

London/Warner probably consider the endless rereleasing of the same old well-known tracks an easier option than kidnapping both Barney, Hooky & Stephen kids to force them to record new stuff... wich could be the only thing left to do, since nobody would offer them 75 million dollars to reform, just like they did to The Smiths (and Moz refused).

All this talk about JD....they made two friggin albums. Yes, they were hugely influential....but so were NO...in my opinion...more so.

So....how about a New Order photo book? All of Anton Corbijsn and Kevin Cummin's NO pics....plus live shots and the like...

Or a nice detailed New Order bio (True Faith is good, but could be better)?

How about some re issued New Order albums with live tracks and demos?

Some New Order T Shirts?

A New Order Hoody?

I love New Order way more than JD....I'd blow my money on some useless NO shit any day!

Just buy a couple of the Joy Division vinyl box sets from HMV at 60 quid (free shipping) each, and then sell them later on to make a profit! :p

And with that profit, then go and out and buy the CD's!

don't get me started on Retro - piece of shit that thing was - total fucking waste of time - if it wasn't for the patchy bonus disc, it would have been a total disaster.

I've already had a go at the poor quality of the live disc today.

The simple answer is... don't buy them. The only stuff I buy these days are gig tickets and releases with unreleased material on it. Howabout a proper bloody boxset with rare and unreleased material on, instead of a compilation of stuff we already have? Including Retro, there have been 5 Greatest Hits sets from NO.

I'd like the JD photobook, but the most I'd pay for something like that is £20. Even I could afford £200, I probably wouldn't spend it on that.

It's disappointing how they're probably not going to do a less expensive run of the Kevin Cummins book. I'd love to see those photos but I'm fcuked if I'm forking out hundreds for the privilege.
