OPEN INVITE

For anyone who's interested, a few NOOLers will be gathering in a Pub, The Chandos, on Saturday from about 3pm onwards, for pre-Finsbury banter.

The Chandos is a stones throw from Trafalgar Square and sits on the corner of St Martin's Lane and William IV Street. Nearest tube is Charing Cross, 2nd nearest Leicester Square.

The deal is this.......my mate is the Landlord. I've covered it off with him that it's ok if a big mob of us turn up & decide (as if) to get slightly lashed in his boozer. Basically, we'll all be made very welcome & be well looked after. There's not too many places in Central London where we could expect to get similar hospitality so it should make for a good day.

So far, there's Jarvo + Paula, Mickey Way + Tania, Alex The Red & his Manc contingent, Mad Darren from Wales & Dave Hibell (I know you don't know this yet Dave).

Hope to see everyone there. If it's anything like Cafe Noir, Paris - should be an eventful evening ;)

Sounds good Johnny boy - what plans fer Saturday night? Timbo has suggested The Borderline - I think it's always an Indie night - so that would be a great craic :nod: I should be in that pub fer the Brazil game along with Luis and a couple of others

Shug,

Like most Clubs, The Borderline only gets going from about 11pm when the pubs turn out. So my plan for the evening is to stop at The Chandos & see where it takes me from there.

Went to The Borderline a couple of times last year & it was a good night for dancin' like a fool :nod: .

No TV in The Chandos so don't rely on it for the Footie, but there are plenty of boozers in that area which will be showing the Brazil game.

My brother drinks in there all the time Mark apparently, he's gonna pop along and say hello on Saturday...

I shall be there, though might not make the 3 o'clock kick-off.

Need to pace meself to be awake for Tyson-Lewis in the wee small hours.

5-day forecast for Finsbury, Sunday, is 13-20 degrees, cloudy, no rain (thankfully) and sunset at 20:13 (nice and dark for the Order).. .

Well, I'm taking a half day today, getting ready to go home, pack, then off to london. Sound like you all are going to have a lot of fun at the Pub on Saturday. I'd sure like to come and meet other New Order Fans, and confirm I'm not the only person in the world who likes New Order. It sure seems that way here in Baltimore, MD. But I may have a hard time getting to the pub, but maybe i'll run into someone here at the concert.
