Since i got my laptop and can type while still engaging in other social actions instead of being an isolated Jonney No Mates it's a whole new ball game, so deciding as I have been seeing this Band for the past 26 years it's a bowt time I updated some of the Gig Review for the ones I have been to and share other such pearls of wisdom, for instance I own Ian Curtis Kitchen table. Well you already know that, but that's for the benefit of those who missed it on the other thread, Maybe I should start another one, he he!!
I've got a City magazine from a couple of years ago. Ian Curtis is on the cover and there's an article inside about how he was a City fan. Rob Gretton was the biggest Blue in Manchester - I used to see him strutting through Rusholme in his City shirt all the time on match days. He used to go with Mike Pickering, I think.
So Factory wasn't all Red you see. How do you think they managed to be so successful?

In Debbie's book Ian is pictured wearing the Classic United Kit from the sixties.
Mick Middles stated to me directly that when ever he spoke to Ian about football that he gave the impression that he was a Red, talked about the players etc.
In Mick's book torn apart Ian's family say that once Ian and his dad kevin could be seen on the T.V. in the crowd of a United game, and that kevin even got Ian all the United teams autographs.
In the Martin Hannett remix C.D. you can clearly hear Bitter Blue Rob referring to Ian when he says to Martin "remember he's a United fan"
But and this is a big but....... Hooky at Urbis in response to my question states that Ian was City and the rest United.
Natalie is a Season Ticket Holder at the Council House. But and here's the interesting bit she went over to the dark side when Bitter Blue Rob stated, "your dad was a blue and so was your grandad (can't be referrin to kevin then) and so are you".
But seeing as Maine road home of the Bitters was by then never full, he was probably trying to recruit anyone he could to go to that massive stadium, even if involved getting Natalie and all her mates to go. If they all stood in various sections of the gound it may even appear that it was half full.
Anyway, the camera never lies, and you would never catch me in a bitters kit no matter how old I was and especially that horrible horrible kit worn at the Theatre of Thieves, and my dad certainly would never ask me to wear one and then take a photo of me wearing it.
If the pic had shown Ian wearing the Bitters Kit then the case for Ian being a red would be thrown out of court. As it is he wasn't so like I say the Jury is still out.
But do City sing a Joy Division song in honour of their most decorated player???

Does Ricky Hatton know it's really a Maccy Town song ? I think he should.
