In my view Oasis are about as important in Manc music history as Simply Dreadful & Cleopatra.

Freebass better than New Order? Well, 'MFP' was better than the last four new order albums, so let's hope so
Was Monaco's second lp any cop? MFP isn't bad at all (but surely you mean 'last three'?) but presumably the follow-up didn't sell, given that MFP is available for a pittance second hand, while Monaco is still rather pricey. Well, either it didn't sell or everyone who bought it is hanging on to their copy. Nearly bought the 2nd lp but won't pay more than £10 for a cd (for anything that isn't a rare deleted single or promo anyway).
Maybe the split is for the best, let there be two, three, many New Order spin-offs. Between them they might come up with something better than recent output.
YA I WOULD LOVE TO SEE HOOKY WRITE MUSIC AGAIN:) GLAD HE IS DOING HIS FREE BASS THING, WRITING WITH YOU KNOW WHO I DON'T KNOW
I WOULD OF LOVED TO SEE HIM WRITE WITH POTSY INSTEAD:) I LIKE SEEING HOOKY DOING SOMETHING IN SPARE TIME.
