why rar an avi file when it will get larger (avi is lossy, rar is lossless, work it out!).....answer? so you can hide the fake bullshit contents.

agreed, at best you will just spend time searching, getting pop ups and other nasty scripts runing up as you signing up at sites you dont ever want to use again.

I know you should avoid .rar like the plague, but in the absence of an .avi I was just curious to see if it was the real thing.

Fair 'nuff then, as long as you know what yer getting into.
Personall I would avoid a rar. file at all costs, there usuall full of viruses or trojans.
i did watch a poor (5/10) CAM winrar file version of the film at the weekend, but its not worth the wait for the download.
Just spend the sheckles down the flicks peasants or drive 35 miles like me!

Try Isohunt - plenty of seeds and peers. Downloaded over night and it's a good version. No passwords despite being a rar file.
And yes I will be buying it when it comes out.
Finished downloading last night - at last I'll be able to see Control - yay! :-)
And, yup, I'll be buying the finished DVD when it gets released (pre-ordered via Play.com - delivery date - June 2008)...
This really is a very good rip. The blur at the bottom is a bit annoying, but after a while you forget it's there.

You need WinRar - downloads available from all over the place. Install it - open the CD1 folder, double click any of the rar folders and winrar will open it up, highlight hls-controla.avi, click Extract To, select a new location, repeat with folder CD2 and burn onto DVD with your usual.
