A friend of mine showed New Order how to water bong back stage in Pittsburg in 1987.
I recently received an email from Hooky mentioning that he remembered my friend and that "he smelt of fish!". Funny, yes?
My friend even got his army jacket with the 81-82 EP painting on it signed not just by all the members of New Order, but also Rob Gretton.
He recalls that Steve was very erudite and friendly, they talked quite a bit about gear, that Gillian was quiet but very sweet and nice, that Hooky ws gruff but very funny, and that Barney was quiet and polite and asked him where they could find some nose candy!
Good story, yeah?
