I'd like a big box Gibson like that.

Not to be a totally geeky guitar gearhead but I believe Bernard has been using a Gibson SG Jr. since 2001, not a standard. The SG Jr's are the ones with one pickup and the wrap around pickguard.
Also, I know people have brought up that Tokai Strat before but I believe it was actually a Fender Japanese Squire Strat, not a Tokai that he used around 1963/True Faith era... (I know he recorded True Faith with a Japanese Squire Strat and while it's possible he had a Squire strat and a Tokai strat it seems unlikely... that said I've certainly been wrong about things before :))
Yep, it's an SG Junior, the single bridge pickup is a P-90 - the same pickup used on the ES-330 that's his main guitar these days, at least according to Guitar Player:
Not sure when he switched from the 335 to the 330, but judging from pictures it was sometime between 93 and 98.
He's also been seen with a Ric 330 live (somewhat similar but not the same as the Gibson). Edit: er, sorry, that must be the 12-string Ric I'm thinking of (a 360/12, I think).

I believe this is the answer about when Bernard switched to a 330: Johnny Marr's Gibson 330.
It seems Marr and Bernard each bought 330s at the time of Twisted Tenderness.
