I was assigned duties to manage this (well, I volunteered), I highly doubt anybody who is a regular here will find it useful, but you might take it a spin and add yourself as a "fan".

Mr Sultan is managing the Joy Division one, as you can see it's the top friend, so add yourself there as well.

WenOrder will be doing design duties soon, they we'll do a proper "launch".

Enjoy!

P/S: Yes, it's "official"... this was assigned by New Order's US management.

does this mean the OFFICIAL JD page won't CONSTANTLY send out pointless bulletins lifted directly from the NOOL news page?

Have you actually asked their US management if any new product is in the works beyond the JD reissues? What about the live DVD?

Does it really go out on bulletin when I post a blog?

No I didn't... beside the documentary, I don't think anything else is planned for now.

But I will ask, but I know they would have told me.

:confused2:

no, the big unofficial JD page sends out endless amounts of bulletins that are just news culled from NOOL--even non-news things like the Radiohead Ceremony cover.

blocked that fecking annoyance!

Kate Ritchie is quitting Home and Away after this year and she was on for like 20 years, and she was only born in 1978.

I really don't know what the point of a New Order Myspace page is. In case their US management is in denial....please remind them again...that they've SPLIT.

The tracks are the usual suspects. There's no surprise here - on a marketing point of view.

Anyway, nice site!:thumb:

Well I'm all for it...just leaving it open in another window, letting the choons play as a bit of background through the old lap-top..Reminds me how good Crystal is,and not a bad choon on the playlist..Probably skip Blue Monday,like.. Did you choose the playlist Nic ?

Where's Regret ? Shirley that's more usual suspect than Sirens.. No fucker knows Sirens, unless you are a Nu Order type.

That's my picks actually.

Kind of hard to limit yourself to 6 tunes.. and well, I had to at least pick the 3 North American hits.

I'm sure many would have preferred to see TPK or Ceremony rather than BLT and True Faith.

We need a megamix lol

If you want Regret, play the damned video lol

I uploaded most of the videos as well.

It's very hard to limit yourself at 6 tunes... not even possible to put 1 song of each album :(

Well, I thought it was the US management who chose the tracks. So normally, a track from the last album would be included, either Krafty (or crappy) or WFTSC.

But then, Nic dude mentioned that it is he who chose the tracks. So swear at him.:evil4:

nah, in my opinion, the tracks are ok as of now. Maybe change a little later. If you will include a megamix, I always love the two Blue Order Megamixes (1990), and I always play it.

You can't go wrong with tracks that are ALWAYS on their setlists....

So indeed, Regret could have been there... the holy trinity is there as well, and "their biggest hit"

I could switch WFTSC for the WFTSC Tribute Mix, but that was on Hooky's page if I remember well.

Strikes me as being totally pointless, this.

No one's arsed anymore are they:laugh: and those of us who are will just play them from our own library.. Where's them seven songs left over from the last album? Yes I totally agree. I mean do you really think that Bernard and Steven - the two remaining members - ever going to really contribute to this.

And let's be real here... "Hooky has left the band" = New Order are NO MORE. So why bother with a myspace site to remind fans about this?

To be honest... it is.

Still don't know why MySpace is existing... just seems to me like a cheap websites for bands ;)

They are now stealing ideas from facebook though

But anyways... it's barely to generate interest.

I think, but stand corrected, that Phil was only ever hired help on a piece rate.

I think an official New Order Myspace is a great ideal. It keeps up an awareness of the band for younger folks.

You might be surprised, but there are a lot of high school kids who really did New Order and Joy Division. They are starting to be viewed as by a younger generation as one of the fathers of classic alternative music, much as groups like The Who, The Kinks, Led Zeppelin, Pink floyd are considered figure heads and staples for thier kinds of music.

and can you change "The pop group with a dark past" ? I find it crappy.

Indeed!

You may find it crappy, but I guess you have not been around long enough to know it's related to New Order's website history (and is in the liner notes of the best of if I remember well)

BTW, how do people like WenOrder's design so far? I'm don't think he's done yet, but it's getting good.

okies, but then, might as well delete it.:evil4:

I never like the word pop, and I never/refuse to consider New Order as "synthpop." Actually, synth is not even popular music, so it's an oxymoron...
