Does anyone happen to know all of the songs Hooky played his Simmons "suitcase" pads on? I know he used them regularly for tracks like "Blue Monday" and "Perfect Kiss." Any others?

Subculture I think. Though it's late and my brain is fried so don't take that one to the bank.

IALP as well, no?
And in latter days they've been Rolands.

There's some big thundery noises in there too, could be Steve of Course.

Just cymbals from Hooky.
Did they ever work to satisfaction? Always seem to remember Hooky spending most of a song trying to get the volume up or the things working full stop and then the song finished.
Just checked the video footage, and yep he does do something on them during subculture during Steve's more cowbell break.
Not sure what though.

And the thunder is Bernard banging on the sampler (or whatever they used before 1983)?

Ahh, yes, this is the infamous "Faster Stephen!" session. God, if I were Steve, I would have thrown my sticks at the prick.
