Just got this on the Yahoo faclist site, don't think anyne's posted it here yet:

I am releasing their first single in Feb 2008 called Last one standing. The second single is going to include Bernard on vocals and if you want to take a look at Rambo and Leroy you can catch them playing live on you tube from their channel m appearance. I had a listen to a couple of the Bad Lieutenant tracks and its sounding good with a few major labels already sniffing around.

Nice!

I just checked ramboandleroy 's myspace. Their first single, The Last Man Standing, is good. It is already released in itunes.

I can't wait for Bad Lieutenant to really happen.

Indeed!

Yes they did - I got drunk with them in the hotel bar after the gig (together with Rocket Mick and Tim)!

They look and sound like some dodgy "baggy" revivalists along the lines of The Twang. Think I'll pass.

So the question would be who is doing the writing?

Bad Lt. is going to be these two guys on guitar and bass and Bernard and Steve just add stuff sometimes, with some songs with lyrics by Bernard, other songs with vocals from this younger guy? .... sounds like Monaco with four guys instead of two, certainly not New Order without bass hooks.

so this is the first BL single? :confused2:

No... This is Rambo and Leroy, on their own, so not necessarily a representation of what BL would sound like. The alleged BL line up consists of these two + Barney, Steve and Alex James I believe.

Yeah, I was afraid it was going to be all synth and electronic sounding.

Just to clear something up Nashy...wasn't slagging off the possibility they used sequenced keys- hell, NO used proper sequencers before putting most of the keys on the hard drive or Kurzweil -just didn't see a keyboard player on stage-maybe just an oversight of the producers when shooting the band's performance?
