It's nominated for

  • Outstanding British Film of the Year
  • Best Supporting Actress (Samantha Morthon)
  • Most Promising Newcomer (Matt Greenhalgh/writer)
  • Rising Star Award (Sam Reiley)

So, any chance of winning?

Yup, no Oscar nod for anybody, as expected...

It's the lovey crowd that usually get nominated every year at the BAFTA's so I'll be surprised to see any awards go to Control.

Ye never know though.

I predict Zero.

How come Sam Riley is in 'Rising Star' and not 'Promising Newcomer'?!

He's up against Sienna Miller in the former category, she's been around ages!

It'll get zero. Which is about as much interest as I have in this.

One, because the panel of voters will want to look "cool".

If you check closely, none of the nominees for "Promising Newcomer" are actors...

Could have included Anton Corbijn, though it's his first movie, I wonder if he could be qualified as "newcomer"

Got a feeling it may well be zero as well, or maybe as Steve says, just the one 'to look trendy'.

Still, at least most people here liked it

First thing he did was thank New Order for being Joy Division.

Er, and then did he thank New Order for being New Order, not sure?!

Dunno why I said I had no interest in this above. It's been excellent TV thus far.

WTF was Tilda Swinton wearing though?!
