As I was taking a look at the "Slow Jam-Rock The Shack" debate, I think I kind of understood why a lot of old posters don't post as much (myself included).

There's a lot of subject matters that come back regularly ("Rock The Shack/Slow Jam", "Worst NO song ?", "Age of Consent live, please", "Can they reprogram The Perfect Kiss", "Where's Gillian ?", "Fave NO album", to name but a few).

Don't get me wrong as I don't criticize anyone here. There's so many threads in here that, without a search engine, it's very difficult to know, if you weren't there at the time, if a subject has already been discussed.

In some ways, it may even be better this way as there's not so many different things you can discuss about our beloved NO.

But I think that's one of the reasons I don't post as much (to say the least) as I used to.

PS : The same things might apply to the recurrent dramas happening in here...

We were just discussing the moose in my signature. I like the way it's contrasting with the lyrics taken from you know which song.

I more than often see a thread and think.. "this has been done before" however as you say there is only so many topics that can be discussed and with new people passing through on a regular basis to this site recycled subjects are often liable to be interesting to some if not all.

Prize for "thread of the month" perhaps!!?

Its Burger King (BK's) slogan over here in UK "not ok but bk" as in their burgers are better than average :D

Do you not have burger king in Belgium ?

Nope, neither BK nor KFC...

Let's try to come back to our subject, shall we ?

Huntsy, you must be the funniest guy in the world. Wonderful one-liners !

Well, in Belgium we have a very good hamburgers restaurants chain called Quick (they developped in France too).

So good in fact that Belgium is the only country where McDonald's hava had troubles to develop.

Most Belgians prefer Quick to McDonald's.

Everything cycles Boost, I doubt there's much anyone of us can do about it. The question is, whether or not this is bad, or a necessarry progression - a rotation occurs, information is gained in order for us to move to the next level. New Order, it could be said, are simply re-creating elements of their existing songs ... they too are working through the motions. NO make music with more knowlege than before, is this good or bad?

You musn't forget that people come to this board to chat also, with likeminded people and people who have become friends. Like it or not this place isn't solely about the band, it is about the band and the bands followers - who, not surprising, enjoy each other's company.

As I said in my opening post, Huntsy, I wasn't criticizing at all. I really understand the situation.

Thing is, when you post less and check up less, you tend to lose it a little.

But I think it's rather fair, I don't have a problem with that.

I wasn't aware that any country in the world had 'troubles' with fast-food. I was under the impression that you only had to add water these days to a small sesame seed and voila! ... instant building containing battery chickens and fries. It sounds like the chain 'quick' is an imitation of McD's or Burger Kat.

I don't think your missing out on much Busty, maybe just a few less places to take your bird out for the evening pre-cinema. Kentucky Fried Chicken though ... what does that colonel think he's playing at harbouring that damn recipe?

I have been to Belgium though. Nice place, very cold - Buster might find this amusing - I visited 'Fantasia Land' and I stood in a queue for a ride next to a guy that stank of maggots. I'm not sure if that's down to Belgium Cleanliness as the man looked Japanese. Either way we ended up on the same boat as him which chugged along for about half an hour. When I finally got off I thought I was going to throw up, I didn't, fortunately, and bought some candy floss instead.

I'm talking about 1982 here BK ... We also visited that building shaped like an atom (or double helix) - not sure where abouts that is ... probably Holland.

Either way I've never been to Germany - I'm not that keen on sausages.

Weird about Fantasia Land.

The building shaped like an atom is indeed in Belgium, Brussels, and is called the Atomium.

Has anybody mentioned Hurt sounds frighteningly like The err Cure? I'm sure reference has been made to the similarities of one or two songs in the past but that was back when I only had Substance on vinyl and I still don't have Temptaion's 12"s

It's totally normal, the topics will always remain the same, because new people are coming and asking the same questions.

One day I'll do a "favorite topics" thread pointing to all those :) I'm sure I can dig in the old ones and find them!
