These two are so similar its almost uncanny. Both share the same interests in electro, hi-nrg, italo disco and pop. Both are committed hedonists yet have the same reticence with the odd witty aside during live performances and interviews. They even share very similar speaking styles in terms of accent and intonation. Plus of course there was the small matter of Electronic.

Not an instant similarity. Bernard is much more outgoing and sociable than Chris for a start.

And Barney's not a chocolate starfish engineer.:ignore:

My friend was sick on Chris Lowe's shoes in the Hacienda.

His shoes red velvet with carrots, peas and lager all over them.

There's quite a few differences for you right there.

Do I win £40?

Bit of a difference between a Blackpool and a Salford accent, though both northern, Barney actually sounds a bit camper than CL.

Seriously though--I was thinking that it's especially apparent when you see Barney perform Disappointed live w. Neil Tennant--because Neil has his usual self-confident, eye-contact making upper-class diction/persona thing going on as PSB frontman while Barney fulfills Chris's more reserved sidelining keyboard bloke role so well in that particular scenario.

I dont think Chris has ever commented regarding his sexuality. Even Neil only actually went the other way full time in the 1990's

I wouldn't say they're the same, but they both are wonderful musicians:clap:, both have worked together in Electronic, both are from the Northern part of England (although different places, nonetheless), and both were born in the 1950s (1956 for Barney, and 1959 for Chris, respectively.

End of story. :read:

Both were inspired by Italodisco, which IS said to be pretty gay.

CL is actually deeper.
